  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Do you ever reject a friend request?

Nope, not sure if I have the heart to reject it. However, if I try to talk to the person and they don't reply, I can just delete, coz that just means that they are collecting friends here.

I don't.
But I am not afraid to delete them quickly if they get on my tits.................

not on jub, but then i dont use the "friend" function at all... to be honest, i dont even know what it means to be a jub friend, practically speaking.

on facebook, on the other hand... sometimes i get requests from people i know, but am no longer in contact with, and dont necessarily want to get in touch with again. those guys i just leave passive-agressively unanswered.

If there is no other info, no posts, no profile, etc. I delete them. If I get one out of the blue I don't usually acknowledge those either.

I usually only approve or "add" those requests of people I have had some kind of interaction with on the board. Either a post comment, or a visitor message or a direct reply on the boards somewhere, etc.

I don't know. It's like people showing up on your doorstep unannounced. I just don't like that. And I rarely answer the door to those who do it. Even if I know them. So add unannounced friend requests in their too. Go figure.

All the time. Pisses me off that I'll get a request before they've even said one word to me. I realize that "friend" means something different online, and I have friended people here and there that in real life I wouldn't consider a friend. I guess I'm somewhat old school but to me "friend" means something to me.

Bloody fucking hell...

I try to keep a small exclusive group and 2 yahoos
(with what appears as excellent credentials)
come out of the woodwork.

One has been around since '03 the other since
just after me in '05. Well, come on boys...
you've passed the litmus test

Crimsonpaine and Mark1111, invitations have been sent

Now I gotta go excommunicate a person or 3 that are inactive or dead.

B_T

You need to post a bit, maybe blog or do a thread.

You are an OhiOan so you can't be tooooo bad...

but you need to be a bit proactive man.

Good people will be watching..........

Yes, for the same reason I reject them on facebook - shouldn't we at least be, you know, friends first? Have some common interests? In the case of facebook, shouldn't you at least know someone that knows me and then try to get to know me before befriending me?

Maybe I'm nuts, but I prefer quality.

Never reject here but on other sites frequently because it's spam a lot of the time.

I'm still pretty new, so no one has sent me a friend request yet. I have no reason to reject any though! If they start any trouble, I could always delete them.
