Bull, now I know your scene as you dispatch frequently with your post over the years.
I've no problem in the world with being nude if the situation warrants and my partner was big time into it which sometimes made me uncomfortable because in a gay arena such as a bed-n-breakfast at keywest or a camp ground, it comes back to sex and fucking perv's or shit bags doing what they do best.
But your "clothes are functional" ......wtf so are eyebrows or nose hairs. No shit and all animals have protection from the elements rather the sun, pest, or environment.
There is no such thing as a naked ape.
Fuck that ape won't live long, nor would would a hippo, rhino, or elephant without thick ass hide.
Nor would a grizzly or polar bear without some protection from the elements.
Clothes provide more than coverage protecting the genitals. I work in the woods a lot and sometimes I wear shorts and I always regret it rather winter or summer. Long pants would protect me from thorns and many things as do good boots in the swamps of the SE USA. Fuck the bugs, shit, and the sun will beat you to submission if the parasites don't get under your skin first.
Our brains allow us to wear clothing to protect/shield us from our enviornment rather the artic or the tropics. That bullshit you see naked dudes running barefoot in the outback or Africa is hyped by the film industry. The things they step on and the bugs that attack them along with thorny vegetation and poison from leaves won't make the real tribesman viewable in a epic feature.
Sleep naked a couple of nights in Oct in the Everglades and see what happens after a hour and you won't sleep.... You will get your naked ass tore to shit even if it is 80 F degrees!
Walk across the deserts of the Mojave on a cool Nov morning and you will worry about cacti, scorpions, flies, & rattlesnakes.
Nothing to say about the polar regions as that is obvious.

Quite so. The difference between an exhibitionist and a naturist is that the exhibitionist gets his thrills by being seen, and the naturist just doesn't give a hoot.

I go naked for my pleasure, not for the gratification of a juvenile mind whose life is so shallow he stoops to taunting people on line.

I know a guy in Portland who once innocently posted a nude picture of himself online. Two years later it popped up and was used to smear and blackmail him. He lives in Portland instead of halfway across the country because people used that one pic to ruin his life.

Given the mentality in here, I have no confidence that people wouldn't immediately go gloating on Facebook or somewhere, showing off the pic and saying "Look what I conned this moron into posting!" I have no problem being naked in front of other men. After all these years I have become totally comfortable with the body I have. In general I prefer to be naked all the time.....either at home or where appropriate. Personally, I never understood guys who cover up in the locker room or going to the showers. I guess there is nothing wrong with that but it is so alien to me.
