Not at all. The first comment I ever got when a picture of me was put online was "THAT's what Lex looks like? Jesus Christ, he looks like fucking hell!" It was all uphill from there. :)

Besides, as this wise sole once told me, "Never get mad at the pixels." I haven't always succeeded, but I try.

It doesn't hurt me, it annoys the hell out of me, though. When I had my Christmas avatar, someone left a comment telling me how fat I look, or something, I don't remember. I had a mod delete it, but asked them not to give warning points.

It is not. It's the wise soul who told me not to get mad at the pixels - my old college roommate. I should point out that he's now grown a beard, and it looks horrible on him. :)

Is he sangle? For the record, I like beards and wish more guys would wear 'em. I begged my last bf to grow one but he never did.:(

He does. Which is odd, because I still picture him in jeans and hawaiian shirts. :) Never had a crush on him, but he's a great guy, brilliant, great sense of humor, and I'm really lucky he's my friend.

What hurts me more is when someone makes nasty remarks about another person here. I don't give a shit if someone says they don't like my looks, but I feel bad when someone here trashes someone else here. Why is that necessary? Why do people feel it necessary to run down fellow guests?

I really don't understand all the negativity here at times. Why can't G L B T people rise about the petty shit that's so common in the "normal" world?
 
Maybe there should be a "no hate week" on JUB where everyone would be encouraged to be more tolerant, less judgmental etc.

It would be voluntary. Anyone who wrote something nasty would then be shunned for the week but there would be no verbal reprimand.
 
pwrbarboy, I asked that in a thread once when I first joined. I was accused by several people of making a negative thread on here and recycling the hate. *sighs* it's hard to be nice to some people, they just won't shut the hell up when they should! *sighs* feel better now, Thanks
 
After the experimences of my life it's very hard to hurt me... and certainly it's not gonna happen online. :-)
