Montreal is a pretty safe city, I feel safe walking anywhere anytime.

Yeah I feel pretty safe. I often take my dog for a walk during the evening. It's pretty safe.

I feel perfectly safe walking around my community

I live in a city of 1,000,000 + people so obviously there are places I dare not go after dark - sadly there are places I would avoid in the daylight

I live in the burbs of New Jersey. There's absolutely nothing threatening here. Walking the streets of Newark or Irvington at night would certainly be a different story.

Being way out in the country, I don't even think of this as a "neighborhood."

Considering the part of town nearest to me that I consider a neighborhood, I'd probably say YES, I'd feel safe walking there at night - and that closest part of town is the most unsavory part of Macomb.

I live in a very suburban town, so I usually feel safe walking about. Even more so in my street as we're a brand new development. Hell, I have a mansion in my backyard... Well, not really, but it's what I see when I open my blinds in my room what with the way our street is done and the cul-de-sac behind ours ends.

There's pretty much no violent crime in Carrboro, so I'm not worried about my safety. There are some neighborhoods in Chapel Hill that are slightly unsavory, but I've walked all the way across Carrboro and Chapel Hill at night in full drag with no problems. Unless you count getting cat-called by my dissertation director and her partner as they drove by... Crazy-ass dykes.

Have I ever mentioned that I love my town?

Absolutely not. I was raised in a public housing tenement, so I have eyes in the back of my head. I'm always on guard.

FUCK NO.

Not in Atlanta.

I've seen some pretty creepy shit before and once even walking to the mall I looked what seemed to be something that passed and couldn't be helped. But I still felt that maybe the person was still nearby.

When I was in NC at Catawba fuck I went out everynight. The guys on the couch would go, "Oh man where you going"

I'd go, "Gas station" and they'd warn me it's dangerous at night.

I walked out of the college to the gas station mostly and I sometimes walked to the plaza because I was bored and I felt like searching for something that is non existent or something. And this was around 12-3 am sometimes. I usually did get an icee though. I liked to wander around the college but too many people.

I've always kinda wanted to though. Just right now take my iPhone and take a walk to waffle house. But there have been some shootings over there and I don't really feel like being a bystander. Maybe someday if I live in another location.

I do actually. Budapest is a pretty safe city. If I was in Lisbon though...I wouldn't feel as safe.

I'm surrounded by rich old people and fellow college students. Pretty safe around here.

for the most part? yes.

but there are areas in town that i would avoid all together. day or night.

Safe...ummm...probably not so much.
