Do you guys have any scary stories?

Sometimes I swear I hear my late cat, who died in my fire two years ago, meow or brush up against my legs. Also once I felt someone lie on me and cover me in my bed.

Oh my God.

Girls. I found it. Bear with me.

If any of you bitches tl;dr me I will cut you.

Holy-Shit.

I have no words for any of this.

I've suffered from sleep paralysis a few times. I had heard about it on many occasions, and how many people consider it a spiritual event, but didn't experience it for the first time myself until a few months ago. I've had strange dreams before, but not really like this.

I had been in my sister's room talking to her and mistakenly fell asleep on the end of her bed. At some point I began dreaming about a dog that I used to have. It was strange because even in the dream I was aware of the fact that I no longer had this dog, and I was also aware that I was dreaming and still in my sister's bed. It was like watching myself from inside the room, but also being inside my own body experiencing it all.

Anyway, in my dream my old dog was somehow in the room and she bit down very roughly onto my hand and tried to pull me out of bed. I could feel the pain of her teeth in my hand, but I couldn't physically move any part of my body to try and remove it from her mouth. I just laid there very terrified with my mind racing. I just kind of snapped out of it randomly though and everything stopped.

I've heard of people seeing shadowy figures in the room when they experience sleep paralysis, but I guess I was fortunate since it was a dog that I loved instead...even if she did bite me.

You would have those types of experiences though. I'm not here for any of that.

I don't know how you people cope with being paralyzed. That shit is not cute and it's unacceptable.

Shadowy figures? Bye.

Not me personally, but when my bf's nephew was 2 or 3 he would sometimes see a man in the apartment that no one else could see. He would often say to his mother late at night: tell the man to go away, while pointing towards nothing in the hallway.

I am done with this thread!

But seriously though, you guys, Seghers just touched on my biggest fear.

We are all afraid of the dark, right?

It's because we don't know who or what is hiding inside of it. My fear is having my dog on the bed with me or in any room that is pitch black but it would of course be scarier in bed asleep. The next thing you know you are woken up by your dog who is standing, in an aggressive stance, growling at the darkness.

It basically plays on the biggest fear of all. It confirms that there is something in the dark when before you just imagined that there could be.

I'm not even being sarcastic right now but I honestly would not know what I would do with myself in that position. I'd be done.

Why are we doing this to ourselves rn. :dead:

EDIT: Wait. I thought you meant the dog would come in the room later, as in whatever was in bed with you wasn't your dog the whole time. CAN YOU IMAGINE.

I've also had sleep paralysis brought on by three VERY distinct turn of events.

The first time I ever had this experience, I had been watching BET, and they played Cee-lo's first solo single(I'ma Freak), and then Earth Wind & Fire's Let's Groove Tonight... so later that night, I went to sleep and immediately started dreaming about those two songs. Suddenly, and with no real warming at all, the dream switches to this very vivid black and white performance of this old R&B crooner who passed away, and at the end of this infomercial-like performance, the "scene" froze and all I could hear was this awful static screech... I tried my hardest to shake myself awake, but I just could not open my eyes. I tried to shout my brothers' name, but the sound just got so loud that it was drowning out my voice. I finally woke up after what seemed like hours... TV off, drenched in sweat, sitting straight up. The other two crippling dreams weren't as terrifying because they weren't as long... but one had to do with a vortex opening above me with devils coming down, and the third was me actually watching TV and yellow smoke binding me to the bed - on that one I actually could SEE what was around me, even up to my brother getting up and exiting the room while I was fighting to shake myself awake.

Shut the PHUK UP

I'm sitting in the dark with my headphones in and I just did a double take around my basement because of your edit.

I-------AM-----------DONE

I could have gone my whole life without seeing that pic. :dead:

Cats are the worst bed mates in situations like that. They'll lie completely calm in bed cleaning themselves and then suddenly they freeze and stare wide eyed out into the darkness!
In reality they've probably just heard a fly buzzing or something but to me it can only mean that they've seen something absolutely terrifying and when i turn my head I will see this face staring at me:

You are literally killing me. This thread would be nothing without you.

You guys might as well go ahead and watch this. :dead:

I don't know if this is scary, but it was freaky to me.

Normally, I sleep in the basement and my dog is in the bed with me. About a month or so ago, my dog slept up in her kennel. I woke up at 5 in the morning and had to use the bathroom (And no, that's not the freaky part). Anyway, afterwards, I got back in bed and laid there with my eyes closed. As I was laying there, I felt... something push down on the bed. Right where I was laying. I got the chills, goose bumps, whatever you wanna call it. I didn't open my eyes, but I was awake and no longer able to sleep. I didn't really try to move, but like I said, it was freaky.

I don't really get scared by ghosts or anything like that. In fact, I find that to be really interesting and intriguing (regardless of the truth). I hadn't watched any Ghost Hunters or any movie of the sort in months, so there was nothing like that going on either. I had never had anything of the sort happen in this house (same house I've lived in my whole life, been in this room for the past year), and I haven't since.

Okay. I'm going to bed.

If I see/hear/feel anything I'm swingin'.

This didn't happen to me, I heard it second-hand.
A woman bought some liver from the butcher and put it on a plate in the fridge, intending to cook it the next day. In the morning when she opened to the fridge to get the milk, she noticed that the plate was empty. Then out of the corner of her eye she noticed the piece of liver clinging to the wall of the fridge, quivering.

Not a haunting or anything but still pretty scary. When I was in grade 3 one of my best friends lived upstairs from us, his mother went crazy and decided to stab him to death with a huge hunting knife. His poor brother discovered the body in the morning and came running down to our house screaming " Steven is dead, Steven is dead". My father quickly sent us to school and then had to deal with the situation. It is something that I will never forget, that is for sure.
