  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

do you hate any "normal" foods?

mushrooms and olives are yummy. so are tomatoes, cucumbers and onions.

processed food is disgusting but i do eat it on occasion.

Canataloupe, raisins, brussel sprouts.... and beer, omg the smell alone of beer sends my stomach into revolt.

I hate meat. I used to really love bacon and ham hocks and pork loin and smoked turkey. Nowadays, if I even smell bacon I feel like I'm gonna upchuck all of my guts. I kinda miss ham hocks, though... a little bit... sometimes.

I love olives, but I hate mushrooms. I also don't like beer.

Seafood.

Blech.

This applies to EVERYTHING that comes out of the sea except for perhaps cod and haddock, which I will tolerate if it's boneless and battered or breaded. But I don't eat fish very often.

And...

Peas.

Blech.

It's unfortunately very often put on the side of plates, but I can't stand it. I can just about force down a mouthful if i must, so at least that's an improvement on seafood.

EDIT:

I'd sooner eat haggis again than take another bite of an olive.

I can't stand haggis either.

But I DO eat Scottish black pudding (dried pig's blood cooked with oatmeal and spices) but that's ONLY because I was given it as a child before I knew what it was made of.

LOVE mushrooms, onions, and seafood. I could eat at Reb Lobster daily, if it wasn't so spendy and fattening. I'm not a big fan of olives, but I will eat black ones.

I don't care for pork, and most people in my family can't get enough of it. Not a big steak eater, either, though I do like New York strip, and I like hamburgers. Canadian bacon, that stuff is so gross. Oatmeal raisin cookies--I find them absolutely disgusting. Spice cake, coffee cake, yuck. The only thing I want to put in my mouth that tastes like coffee is coffee.

All types of seafood. It's revolting. People who eat lobster freak me out. You're eating a bug! A big, nasty gray colored sea dwelling bug.

Sorry, just threw up in my mouth a little bit...

Another food I don't like, sweet pickles. I like regular kosher dill but the buttered sweet ones are absolutely vomit inducing. I hate it when I go to a party and they have a pickle platter out and I'm like, "ohh pickles, yum" and I pop one of those sweet ones in. It takes me forever to get that taste out of my mouth.

Raw tomatoes. I dislike the aroma. Dunno why the cooked ones don't have the same effect.

Green whole olives. Too astringent for me.

Apples which don't taste sour. I prefer a bit sour ones like Granny Smith or Royal Gala.

And string beans. Yuck. Just yuck.

I prefer the turkey variations of traditionally beef/pork-based food items: Turkey burgers, turkey hot dogs, turkey bacon, etc. To me, they taste exponentially better.

Maybe I have some weird, malfunctioning taste buds, but crumbled cheeses taste completely rancid to me. I've had to throw away entire salads because of a few morsels of gorgonzola.

Also, I can't stand normal cake. Unless it's an ice cream cake with chocolate crunchies, don't even bother. I'd rather eat a plateful of broccoli for dessert.

^You stay away from my kitchen.

*ahem*

I can't stand seafood, even though I have a very slight interest in trying lobster.

I won't eat cold meat, and all salad variants that aren't "real" salad (pasta, tuna, macaroni, egg, etc) make me GAG.

bacon. can't stand the smell the look or taste. looks like peeling skin. I live in wisconsin and the people i am around like to eat. a lot! they are very fat.

I also do not like alcohol, at all. not even wine.

If it contains the word "casserole" or "loaf," keep it the hell away from me! I swear I'll gag!

LOL. This made me laugh. I'd agree, but Meat Loaf(try not to gag) is my comfort food. I don't have it often, but it is a favorite. but only if my mom makes it. mine doesn't come out the same.

I HATE cheese.
I DISLIKE milk and sausage.

I like olives, pickles, and onions. Mushrooms could be good too as long as they're not the cheap variety. Portobello and Shiitake mushrooms are yum. You guys should go out and eat more vegetables.

I love olives and mushrooms! I also love Brussels Sprouts, sour cream (gotta have it on potatoes) raisins, seafood.

Foods I don't like:

sauerkraut
Czernina
McDonald's hamburgers
kimchi (too spicy)

That's about it

No, I'm truly dedicated to omnivory. I like most abnormal foods, too.

The only normal food I don't like is food that's poorly prepared.
