  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

do you hate any "normal" foods?

How can someone dislike banana pudding? Do you dislike banana ice cream, too?

I dislike Fruit fused in Cakes, Pies, Cookies, Salads, puddings and Ice cream. I still don't get how some people think Salad with Oranges mixed in is Good.

Back to Bananas...Banana pudding is a traditional dish to prepare & eat in my family....When we get together for family gatherings I'm the only one that skips over the pudding & potato salad......I do Love Bananas and buy them all the time..Just leave'em out of the pudding mix..

Raw white/yellow onions
Raw celery
Stuffed Peppers of any sort make me want to hurl.

That's about it for me. I like a wide variety of foods.

To the people who dislike mushrooms : Are we talking about white domestic button mushrooms or wild mushrooms or both?

I've never even had any type of 'shroom, but just the thought of eating one makes me wanna hurl.

Can't stand any kind of fish, and apart from tinned sweetcorn don't do veggies.

I'm with you on the fish...'cept tuna.

I actually like the taste of Banana pudding, but I CANNOT STAND bananas? It's a texture thing. Well, that and a scene in Friday the 13th 4, where a chick gets killed while eating one. What's a bit odd, is that the only scene in any splatter movie that actually grosses me out.

And Travis...if you'd been around ME, talkin' that mess about fried chicken? Ohhhhh boy, my hand's tingling just THINKING about how hard I'd bitchslap you.

I really hate pickles!

GROSSSS!

I used to gag at even the THOUGHT of eating egg salad. But then, I was fixing some for moms, and happened to have the munchies at the time...now I'm kinda hooked, lol. Same shit happened with cinnamon rolls. And Bleu Cheese.

Forgot about French Toast. How anybody eats that shit is just beyond me. Fried eggs too...fucking yuck!!!

I don't eat peas. I don't eat green beans.

But you mushroom haters can go elsewhere.

I'll slice up a tomato and eat it.... I don't need a salad or a sandwich even.

Cole slaw? Love it. Macaroni or Potato Salad? No Thank You

Olives are delicious (green olives, not black olives).

Cold roast beef is delicious

Lobster is amazing.

If I can't find good crab legs, I'll buy imitation crab meat.

I despise most sushi. That creeps me out.... with the except of California Rolls.

I loved loved LOVED Caesar Salads until I found out anchovies were in the dressing. Now I can't stomach it.

If it's not ketchup, some kind of sauce, or added in chili, tomato's are just the WORST!!! If I order a hamburger, or sub or something, and they accidentally stick a tomato or 2 in, I'm liable to not touch it, as the juice tends to linger even after you remove the tomato.

Thanks to a pudding skin incident in 5th grade, I haven't touched the stuff since.Except those bomb-ass pudding pops, of course...| Which reminds me of the flack I'd catch at lunch sometimes, because I'd be the only one drinking regular, instead of chocolate milk. Can't stand that shit. I guess just the cold factor, because I DO like hot cocoa.

Homemade or from a real bakery it can be good, though I understand why you might not like it. Cheap carrot cake (as in from the supermarket) can be pretty bad.

Yep, that's where I had it. Long story short, I worked in a grocery store for 10 years, so I saw a lot of people buy a lot of things, so I gave it a shot.... never touched it again. That being said, I've spelled enough spoiled milk, shrimp, crab, lobster, steaks, pork, chicken, bad watermelon, bad eggs, bad lunch meat, and it's never deferred me from eating it again...

I'll eat almost anything, and have done over the years, from raw witchetty grub (you bite the head off, and suck the innards out, and they're delicious), to durian (which is often described as like eating onion ice-cream in an open sewer - well, I love it), pretty much every meat, including offal. I made a great kangaroo-tail stew once.

However, the only foods I acticvely dislike and avoid are melons. Watermelons are sticky and annoying; canteloupe to me just smells off.

-T.

Maybe you'll have good luck and come across a Charentais/Cavaillon melon? They're so terrifically delicious you might enjoy them. I've never had the real Cavaillons, but the local ones from my farmer's market blow my mind.
