Someone who you can call on when you feel lonely that will snuggle you on the sofa, watch a movie together and talk, be affectionate and hold your hand when you need it but not try to make a move on you?

Something that goes beyond a 'friend hug' with pat on the back, but not a booty call.

I don't but i'd like one... Does such a thing exist?
 
Yes. It's called a dog. They've been around for years. They make all sorts of different models, they are good conversationists (well, good listeners), they don't judge. As for not making a move on you, well you may need a vet to help with that one.
 
My best friend and I often cuddle in the sofa. We even fall asleep together sometimes when we have a drink and I stay over.

I've never called just to ask for it though it just happens naturally when we are together and in the mood.

We all need human touch on a regular basis without it necessarily being romantic. A short hug is in my opinion not enough to satisfy that need.

Maybe 2 power bottoms. It's hard because usually one will like the other one more. Or if you are both not sexually attracted to each other but care for each other it can happen too.

Don't think it should have to stop when you are in a relationship though. Like I said touch isn't always sexual or romantic... even when you go as far as sleeping in the persons arms.

When my friend started in a relationship we continued to cuddle and his boyfriend had no problem with it. But we never dated before so perhaps its more inappropriate if that was the case.

That's why you snuggle with a straight friend, a girl or someone very unattractive so you won't have the urge to suck dick.

Well its kinda tricky for us gays I guess because it's not just our gender but also the gender we are sexually attracted to.

A lot of girls cuddle with their girlfriends when they are in a relationship and most people seem to think its just fine.
