I had the same operation as yourself, I too was very aware of the scare. My wise Aunt said “can you see it without a mirror, if not then you don’t have to look at it”. It was only noticeable for the first few weeks, once it started to heal the scar almost disappeared.

I have a scar from an appendectomy and a scar from a being shot in the arm while I was in a war zone but its not that nocticable!

Just this, apart from the shooting. My scar was caused by some flying shrapnel.
