  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Do you have photos / portraits of yourself and family in your home?

I'm not sure I even have any pictures of myself on my phone.

Well, unless pictures of my hand petting one of the cats counts ...

I did not inherit the selfie gene.

I have some pictures in boxes or grocery bags that need to be scanned. None hung on a wall. Awards were probably thrown out years ago. They never meant anything to me.

I have many. As I get older I appreciate them so much. Memories of times gone by, as well as loved ones who have passed.

I have one that includes me with a good friend from years ago. I have a couple of my parents. I used to have several of nieces and nephews that were provided to me already in frames...so that is why I actually put them on the wall. I have one remaining wall that I have not got to yet in removing all those nieces and nephews photos. They are well grown now with there own children.

As far as plaques or awards, I do have a plaque that I received when I retired from work.

Yes we do. We have pics of us as a couple and I have a pic of Rick and he has one of me by our bed. There are pics of our parents. These pics are what make our life what it is. Why would we not display them? I enjoy looking at a pic of Rick and I in a row boat when we were in our twenties. My head is on his shoulder, it warms my heart to see us still in love all these years later.
We really don’t display any professional achievement items anymore. Our careers are behind us and I tried not to be tied to my career as an identity.
