I live in an urban area with a large LGBTQ+ population and I'd say 98.9% of my friends are gay men.
Some I kiss on the lips, many I never slept with or dated or anything like that. But I do give a friendly peck on the lips to most gay men I know personally. It is just something that has been done to me and then I started doing it based on what I've seen.
I'm in my early 30s and I would say mostly older gays age 50+ and most receptive to it nonchalantly.
I was wondering if others do this. Thank you.
 
Is it possible to be just and pure ‘friend’ with someone hot and you’re attracted to? Believe it or not most gay friendships like that turn into a fuckbuddy thing in my opinion in real life, or at least they end up having sexual tension between each other.

I always do, hello and good bye. But I do believe that it does create a fit of sexual tension between us, but it's proper. People were shocked to learn that I kissed my father-in-law and nephews the same way. It's just what my family has always done.

I always give my friends a hug; whether straight, gay, male, female, animal, vegetable, or mineral.

Or at least I used to prior to this covid-19 virus.

In the future, if I ever enter a social space again, there will be no physical contact from me whatsoever.

I will probabaly just give a little wave from 2 metres distance.

Kiss on the cheek, hug, or long handshake is the norm.

If encountering mouth-to-mouth kissing among casual acquaintances, most observers would mark it up to some intentional defiance of taboos, akin to straight teenagers grandstanding, or perhaps gay exhibitionists hoping for some shock value.
