A father might kiss his son on the forehead or cheek or top of his head or perhaps an infant on the lips, but otherwise no. I was surprised to see European soccer players kissing each other. This must be a new trend. Actually, a father doesn't kiss his daughter on the lips either.

I have a straight cousin who is an actor--stage and television. He kisses me on the lips. I've observed that this is not uncommon in Hollywood. I avoid kissing my gay friends on the lips unless we've once fucked.
