I know most of the lines, but I forget the order you sing them in.

Not only do I know the entire US National Anthem, I also know the Canadian National Anthem as well. One of the benefits of watching a ton of hockey ;)

Do you know the words to your national anthem ?

I only know the first couple of lines of Flower Of Scotland, can you do better ?

The flower of Scotland???Is that like the Yellow Rose of Texas??? J/k

Yes, I know my National Anthem

slightly off topic but...you seem to be a bit patriotic as of late. It's nice.

I know the first part of it..the part that's played at sporting events

I used to know all four verses. Now I just know the first. The other verses don't fit the tune very well.

Yes, every word. I even know the real version of "The Maple Leaf Forever"!

i think the national anthem of the US is "Walk on the Wild Side" by Lou Reed.

isn't it?

I sure do.

Now on iTunes.

First thing I thought of when I saw the thread.

I voted yes, though I only know ALL THE WORDS to the first verse of the Star spangled Banner. There are actually three full verses, but I would say this counts, because MOST AMERICANS hear only the first verse (WELL over one minute long, close to two minutes, when sung properly) and they think they've heard it completely.

I think I've heard the full version, or even only the first and second versions, perhaps twice in my lifetime.

`

Sadly, Yes.
:help:
It still pops in my head as one of those crappy songs you can not get rid of.

Hopefully we will get a rewrite one day.

Same with me, I looked up the song lyrics the other day and saw the full song and like, they don't ever sing the whole song. I sung it to myself
