No.

And the type of Sports fans that tend to yell and scream at the tv screen tend to really be annoying.

I said no in the poll. But I like non-violent sports like baseball, swimming, gymnastics etc. I intensely dislike football which is nothing but organized violence.

I'm a big sports fan, especially hockey.

Last month I saw the Flyers play Phoenix. It was the first NHL game I'd attended in a couple years...and I was so excited and happy!
I felt like I was back with "my people!"

You might guess my favorite bar at home is a gay sports bar, and I'm a forum member at Outsports.com too.

I don't like sports, I don't like watching it, I don't get it. Although as a kid I did enjoy going to local junior high school basketball games. Baseball is too slow, Football is too slow and I don't understand the scoring system or even know where the ball is.

Association football and motor racing, definitely. As far as the Olympics and things go, I'll happily watch swimming, diving, gymnastics and anything in highlights form.

I do "LIKE" sports - but that doesn't mean that I need to enjoy it enough to watch and attend games. (In my lifetime, the only professional team sport that I've ever attended, in person - even including the lower formative teams all the way down to the squads in public/private schools - has been baseball.)

I have no issue with the existence of sports, but I do particularly dislike the fact that athletes are allowed to recklessly attack and maim players on opposing teams without ever being held accountable...and that these profit-making private teams often get massive publicly-funded subsidies to build new stadiums every few years even in struggling and distressed cities such as Detroit. Ironically the ONLY publicly-owned team in all of top-level professional sports, the Green Bay Packers, have not been screaming for more and more public largesse.

So, I can't say that I dislike sports - only that I am more or less neutral, and often I don't "get it" with the rules. (Example - I'm not even entirely sure what a football "safety" is, but I think it's when the offense gets tackled in the opponent's end zone, right?)

I voted yes, because I like the fact that sport EXISTS - the genre can do wonders bringing structure and even sense to a young person's life. I am witnessing this, basically right now, with somebody's son in Indianapolis (who I know) who is just starting his second year of college basketball - this time at a new college with a coach who cares and recognizes the talent. Sport is a wonderful influence on his life.

I like the hot buff guys in their sexy sports gear :-)

Since it's a long complicated answer, I'll distill it down to "yes".

(Example - I'm not even entirely sure what a football "safety" is, but I think it's when the offense gets tackled in the opponent's end zone, right?)

Yup. I'm guessing you caught the end of the game last night. :)

but start watching football once know the rules- it's addicting and Seattle Seahawks is awesome ..|

Love watching, not interested in playing.

Baseball, Basketball (BROOOK-LYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYN), football, hockey. No love whatsoever for soccer.

gah, don't remind me... still angry that you fuckers took our jobs. lol

I'm mostly apathetic. I don't watch sports of my own accord, but if I'm at a friends house or a bar and they've got the game on, I know enough to follow the action and don't mind watching it.

same here.

most of the pro ballers notably in football are fat and oafish. ew ... although I do find pro-baseball players kind of cute and those pseudo tight pants - nice!

No. I barely understand the point of watching sports, so you can imagine my astonishment at those of you who read about other people watching sports.

And I don't really enjoy playing sports, more just physical activity. I don't find chasing an object across a field, or throwing the object away from me, or preventing someone else from obtaining the object, to be all that amusing.

I love football....and I like just about any other sport with the exception of baseball and hockey.

Just action sports. (Skateboarding, BMX, FMX, Luging, etc.)
