I agree with you the dark mode looks better and you can see everythingSome of the comments about the dark mode inspired me to try that. Fitting, since some would say that I'm in the dark most of the time.I think it's easier on my aging eyeballs.
At one time, I actually used a text editor that had options for light letters against a dark background. (Exact colors could vary based on the chosen theme.) I thought it did make long sessions of writing something easier on my eyes.
I may not have something configured correctly. But I don't like that I don't get summary emails anymore. They are all single topic notifications...for both REPLIED messages and NEW threads. What I worry about is if the software (or my provider) blocks one of the emails, then I won't get any more notifications because I have not returned to the website and viewed the thread. I like the summary emails because if the forum get real busy and it sends out a lot of notifications individually, internet providers sometimes flags the website as spam. Both AOL and Outlook/hotmail/live have done that to me over the years.Choice of daily or weekly summary emails with links only. I am getting posts every day and I still have to figure out how to turn off.
I have been using Firefox and the multiquote is working for me. I also have ABP ad blocker active on this website (I used to have it off for this site but on the old software i started getting popup-behind naked photo ads) which I usually didn't notice until I closed the browser. I'm gonna try what 1thousand suggested and highlight some text before selecting the Quote command.I'm also having trouble with the multiquote not working on my PC, although I see it is working for others.
I thought it was my ad blocker doing it, but apparently not.
If I select multiple quotes, and then click on post, I get some kind of processing icon that never completes. I use Firefox as a browser, btw.
Just frustrating.
I don't think I've seen the dark mode yet. I'm pretty sure I've left it at the default which, I assume, is to follow my PC setting. Or is the dark mode just for mobile browsers?Have you tried dark mode?
Click the "Light" button at the lower left of your screen.
Dark mode works on the desktop. On any page, scroll all the way to the bottom. There is a tiny little button on the bottom left that says "Light". Click that. You will get a popup that says "Style Chooser" with only two options, "Light" "Dark". Click "Dark". If you don't like it, reverse the process.I don't think I've seen the dark mode yet. Thanks. I did play with that option after I posted the previous message. I guess I misunderstood when in the configuration screen, I had selected Default mode. I thought that meant like on mobile phone the mode changes depending on the time of the day. But appearently it mean the default mode of the forum you are viewing at the time. I assume maybe different forum sections can have different modes. I think I will keep it in the dark mode.Dark mode works on the desktop. On any page, scroll all the way to the bottom. As for me, in order for someone to reply to my great comment, I'd have to start by making a great coment, instead of one of my usual brain dead comments (1,700 plus as of now)!I like that a red dot appears (notification) on my bookmark so I know someone replied to my GREAT comment ;-)
