It does have a flavor, you can't really tell straight up, but if you mix it with cranberry or orange juice you can taste the vodka.

As a summer drink, nothing refreshes more than a Bay Breeze (vodka, cranberry and pineapple). I also like an ice cold Vodka Martini with olives. Drink the good stuff. Cheap vodka tastes like rubbing alcohol.

I can only drink vodka straight up now. Diluting it is a complete turnoff and flavored Vodkas are bad.

I go with Smirnoff or 42 below.

I go to a club where it's BYOB and you leave a bottle there and about 80% of the bottles are vodka. I think it's the most popular spirit.

By the way some cheap vodkas are good. I usually by McCormick which is an American Vodka, a 1.75 Liter bottle is only about $14 on sale. Less online, but you have to pay shipping and I don't buy alcohol online.

Last time I had vodka out I had a well brand with cranberry juice and it was excellent.

When I make drinks at home for friends I made Long Island Iced teas, it has 5 spirits and I usually buy whatever is cheapest or on sale, it's all about getting the quantities right and having the right sour mix, and I make my own. I have two friends that like to drink and they prefer my LIIT over any other drink at my place.

I don't like gin, it's my least favorite spirit, it's too perfumey tasting. The only drink I like it in is in Long Island Iced tea because there are other spirits that blend with it.
