I confuse many people.

My parents have Native-American ancestry each, and both are African-American mixes. I typically call myself multiracial.

I learned to speak Spanish and have Hispanic friends, and my artist name is Alejandro ~dro~, so I get mistaken for being Puerto Rican.

Honestly, I think the term "African-American" is a bit silly. I mean, if I was from Africa, fine. But I know nothing about Africa other that what I've seen on tv or read in a book. I'm sure there are many Caucasians that were born and raised in Africa, and they're probably much more African than I've ever been. Although I have been thinking a lot recently about visiting and maybe even living in South Africa.

I don't like the term "Black" either, but that's another story. Really, I'm more American than anything.
