Every now and then I listen to KinkFM (alternative folk, pop, rock and metal) or GaydarRadio (oh yes). Some stations have events that I like to listen to - the Top 60 of the Sixties, the Top 2000, that sort of stuff. But mostly it's my own music and podcasts.

It totally depends of the market. I live in San Francisco and we have a couple of great talk radio stations on the AM dial.

I used to listen in the car till my radio broke. I may get a new one, it's good for long trips. But just driving around town I don't need it.

I listen to it almost exclusively when I'm in the car for AM talk shows, probably around 30 hours per week. When I don't want to listen to that, then I listen to XM or Pandora

I do listen to the radio when I am in my car. For the most part, it is mainly background noise.

Yes, daily in the car on the local AM MW Gold station and at work to BBC radio 4 until 10 every morning. I could quite happily live without a tv set, but not the radio.

I listen to radio all the time. I find the news on radio to be far less sensational than on television or online. I also love talk radio.

It's also a good way to find new music, especially if you find a program you like.

Pretty much every day.
The audio quality of streaming media is not good compared to a high-end FM receiver.

With all the media choices and players available anywhere you go (in the car, at home, or on the bus, or walking etc) why would anyone even tune in local radio any more??? The only tuning in I do is occaisionally in the car to a couple of FM stations I like (hard rock especially good for long trips in state until the signal is lost).
I can't recall the last time I tuned into AM...there is really nothing on it any more...
I used to tune for local traffic when I lived in a large metro area but now you get alerts on your Blackberry or whatever so even that isn't needed...

Clarification: by radio I mean traditional radio like AM/FM on a boombox or car radio (not satellite or internet radio)...what we used to call a "wireless"...

Daily. Every morning and afternoon on my way to and from work. We have some of the best breakfast shows around. :D

i listen to news radio in the car quite often. if not that then i have my ipod blasting.

Just Kevin & Bean in the morning on KROQ. I HATE radio music. It's the same songs over and over again.

i'm totally dependent on my ipod truth be told. i plug it into my car's audio and i have a dedicated speaker/amp box in the office. radio is boring to me and more so in this town.

For all you non-Brits out there in Jubland, I can highly recommend BBC Radio 4 as speech based mix of news, current affairs, documentaries, plays and comedy (or BBC Radio 2 for an eclectic range of music (everything from pop to rock to metal to folk to organ music (I kid you not)

Mornington Crescent anyone? I'll start.

Ealing Broadway.

Yeah, every time I drive somewhere... I don't own any kind of mp3 player, my cd player is junk and I don't have any good cassette tapes.

I really hate the radio especially when they get into their talk show part ugh it annoys me thankfully i have my ipod

In my car, I have a 6 disc changer, the radio, and Satellite radio. I switch around.

In my truck, all I have is a basic am/fm radio to listen to.

I find myself more and more just driving with silence. It can be quite soothing sometimes.

Listen to the radio occasional but mostly to the music/songs and rarely radio talk shows.

I stopped listening to the radio in 2003. They usually play the same damn songs over and over and my music tastes have changed since. I do think that radio will be dead soon.
