my roommate has been out of the country for the past month; he's due back at the end of the month, but I'm planning on telling him that he needs to find a new place to stay after he gets back.

I live alone also. I'm not lonely myself though. I am an introvert, the voices on tv are enough company for me. A boyfriend or lover would be nice but i'm not really fussed.

Well, I don't even have TV. I would just like to experience love, and sex before I die. However, I think that's very unlikely at this point, and at my age.
I am indeed lonely most all the time.

I live alone in a fairly large two story, three bedroom house. People have asked me why I don't rent out a room, the money would be nice, but my privacy trumps the money. I have had room mates and they're fine. I REALLY enjoy living alone. I have just enough friends. I also love living one block from work! As desertboi said two posts above me, "Privacy is huge for me." I agree 100%.

I live with my family... which is not bad really. I am trying to buy a place of my own, and it's taking a while for the bank to decide what they are going to do. I should know something before the end of the month.

I live alone at the moment. I've had the same roommate twice. I worked during the day and he worked at night so we rarely got on each other's nerves. I do prefer living along even though the extra money was nice but sometimes coming home and not worrying about someone watching tv loud or coming in and accidentally waking you up is nice, lol. We are still friends though, he moved back in with friend of his for the second time lol. I said you are pushing 50 and you've hardly ever lived alone for more than a year.

In addition to being someone I want to hang around with, I enjoy the freedom of dealing with stuff together. Two can live almost as cheaply as one, and I enjoy not being obliged to live cheaply because of that.
