I live with the old man. And I do mean old.

I've had roommates before, and it always turned out bad.

I made a promise to myself. I'll never live with someone again (not counting my dad) unless they share my bed.

Alone

I like living alone

I wonder, if I finally have a good LTR, I would actually move in with him... or have a Woodie Allen/Mia Farrow type thing... without the slutty Korean step-daughter

Living alone means more expenses, but more freedoms.
Yeah, that's the trade off.

I don't think I could live with someone I wasn't sleeping with--in other words, living with a "roommate." Life's too short. If I wasn't partnered, I think I'd much rather live alone.

my brother and i share an apartment together but i am looking forward to striking out on my own again.

I live with my sister, but I can't wait to move out...

I have 2 housemates and wish I could afford to move out and live alone again. I was unemployed for a year and now, after another year, am still only working part-time. I am trying to change that, but the economy still sucks! I have always enjoyed living alone...privacy, freedom and no intrusive questions, etc.

I used to live in Houston. You can find a nice apt. that's affordable.

It takes some getting used at first living alone, but I think you'll be much happier.

Yeah, but I don't like to commute.

I'm trying to stay within 15 minutes of work.

I used to live off 1960 @ 45. And worked at the beltway and I-10. Got there in 20 minutes. The EZtag bill was hell, though.

I live alone. I have a dog though. He's proven to be a better (more loyal) roommate than my ex.

I lived alone before, but I loved it!

I still need company around because I can be a people-person or else I will get very depress.

I lived alone when I was in Virginia and while I got lonely at times overall I enjoyed it a lot more because I had my own space plus my cat was always excited to see me come home!

Now i'm living with one of my parents and while we get a long i'm just so ready to be on my own again....but until I get a better paying job it's not happening anytime soon :(

I have a roommate as some of you might know about that situation....

Currently no, but I have lived alone and enjoyed it very much. I too don't care for having roommates unless it's out of economic necessity. It's true that roommates may be great for sharing expenses but you do give up a LOT of freedom (and privacy) for that. Among my own friends, the ones who have roommates are miserable, sick of the arrangement and can't wait to get out. I've also seen roommate situations destroy friendships.

I guess I'm happiest with a partner. Short of that, I'd rather live alone without roommates.

I live with my dog.

He's a pretty good room mate. Moving out, best thing I ever did.

The only time I liked living alone was when I had my own house with a yard, and was working 70 - 90 hours a week. I could come home, my cat would attack my shoulder from ten feet away, I could fall over on the couch and throw my clothes wherever....
But it was lonely.

The best living situation I've ever had was in a large rambling house with bedrooms at the ends of separate halls, so it felt like living alone, but there were other people nearby. It was spread out enough we didn't get in each other's way. Sharing a kitchen can be fun, too.

Right now I'm alone except for Bammer, my dog, and in a three-bedroom house that gets emptier by the week (being cleared out to sell), it's lonelier than anything.
