People always guess me to be at least five years younger than I am, if not ten. This was of course not true when I was in my early twenties, but since my late twenties I've been fooling people. Despite the fact that my hair is half gray, most people think I'm in my early thirties rather than a few scant seasons away from forty.

I don't really care to look younger than I am, though. I just don't like wrinkles, they're untidy. The secret is to stay out of the sun, moisturize frequently, and create a lifestyle with minimal responsibility and worry. Works better than Botox.

I think I do, a little bit. But it could be more that I act younger, i.e. more innocent than is typical of someone my age. Most of my coworkers are not from my generation, and I seem to stand out by not being jaded and cynical. This magnifies the age difference, making me feel younger. Some of you won't be surprised, but at 27 I still get called "Kiddo" at work. I had thought I was all grown up, but I guess not.

Incidentally, I think my little bro (5 years younger) looks older than me. :grrr:

I sure hope so. People always think I'm younger than they are, which is very nice. I just hope I continue to feel younger than I am.

Yes, I'm 37 and I get discarded all the time.

Aww bless:rolleyes:
I'm 41 and a good day can pass for 45, personally and as I have said in a similar thread, when someone can show me what an age looks like then I can begin to understand some of the reponses that people have been making in this thread.

In other words, you fool people (however unwillingly  ) into believing you are younger since you wear a double skin of make-up

Double skin? Oooooh, bitch, 'dems fightin' words! Don't make me take off my earrings and slap you!

The picture of the divine Marlene was taken the year I was born, by the way. She was sixty-five there. And it was more than makeup, she used to give herself pre-show temporary facelifts with surgical needles, pulling the excess skin up under her wig with them and taping them down. Now that's commitment!

i've been told now and then. I answer with: "is it good or bad to you?"

Then what did she do in 1972? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4a/Marlene72.jpg

I'm 46; so I presume that this...

<<<<<

is what a 46-year-old looks like.

Recently, other people have guessed my age at between 42 and 50; ie, 46 as an average.

Although this wonderful post is completely ruined by the fact that my avatar pic is a couple of years out of date. #-o
