  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Do you look your age?

](*,) ](*,)

Well let's put it this way, short of having my entire head removed, there is little I can do about the present state of things.

Jerry Herman wrote a song, "Time Heals Everything," but I am terribly afraid in this case he is entirely wrong.

eM.:(

I've been told I look younger, but I don't see it. Maybe I'm just too self concious.

I look a wee bit older than I am. The booze, drugs, and smoking have seemed to take their effects on me.

I look a lot young than I am also, not sure if that a good thing or not. People I'm working with are old enough to be my father, especially the people I'm dealing with for my job. I have always wonder what they think of me if they know what I looks like (e.g looking young), because they hate seeing my name appear on their email...lol

do you guys thing I look 40? In Feb. I'll be 41! I've been told I look around thirty. Three years ago, when I had longer hair, I got carded when I went into a bar. I was thrilled, but I think those days are gone. :)

I've always looked considerably younger than my actual; age .. Now that I am 57; most folks think I am mid to late 40's .... which explains why I always had younger B/F's ....

I can usually get away with people thinking I'm eight to ten years younger than I actually am. :gogirl:

I am 47, by the way.

I'm 25 and only recently have people stopped carding me when I order a drink. I can apparently pass for a 20-year-old. Not too bad.

There was this one time at work some woman was being really rude to me and looked at my coworker for an answer (because, she likely reasoned, he was older and thus would be better informed). He, in turn, looked at me and said "I'm really not sure. Do you know the answer?" The quick way the woman walked away when I answered was classic.

I'm told I look and act younger than my age.....I'm told I could pass for 30-35 easily and I one of the guys always cards me at the clubs but then he always flirts, too.

I looked younger until 2 or 3 years ago, now I look a lot older than 23.

When I was in highschool, I never got carded. Everyone thought I was in my mid-twenties. Now that I'm 24 people think I'm much younger. I always get carded. Someone told me I looked 14 the other day, though I think that's a bit harsh. I'm told I'll appreciate it when I'm older. I think I'm starting to look more my age, now.

Well, I was carded at bars until I was 35 y/o. It is all due to good genetics. Clean living has nothing t o do with it because heaven only knows I haven't lived cleanly. I've been ridden hard and put up wet a lot of times. I'm in my mid-50s now and people still sincerely guess my age as 43 or 44. So look upon your current predicament as a blessing which you will enjoy in the future.

I've been told I look younger than I am, although a few hairs in my goatee/stache have.........changed color in the last, year or so? whatever, I'm almost 42, if I can pass for mid-late 30's I'd be ecstatic.

:-)

I rarely get carded... in fact I only get carded when I'm in a line waiting for bouncers to check ID... otherwise if I walk up to the door by myself I always get in without so much as a question.

It's also weird that I when I started renting cars at 20 as a walk-up, they never tacked on the under 25 surcharges... and everyone calls me sir or Mr. Soandso "not hey guy" or other youthful pleasantries. Even at a restaurant down in Baltimore a few months back, my whole table of friends got carded when they asked for drinks to go with their meal, then the waitress then asked me "can I get you a glass of wine or a beer sir?" That was really embarrassing... I'm 24! I keep asking my friends why people take me for an older person... and they always say it's my demeanor. By the time I'm thirty I'll look like some ugly, old troll.
