Do you look your age?

when i was 19 i was sitting next to my then 15 year old cousin when this guy sitting across the table from us told us we looked the same age. he thought we were both about 17. even now at 21 people always think im 19. maybe there's a mistake on my birth certificate.

In my 20s people told me I looked older than my age.

In my 30s nobody mentioned my age at all.

In my 40s, and now I'm 50, people tell me I look younger than my age.

I want to see a picture of the way people think we should look at 20, 30, 40, 50 that compels them to say, "You don't look your age!"

I think it's profoundly stupid.

And yet the stupid part of me feels good when someone looks shocked at hearing I'm 50. I hate that. ;)

I'm 18 and most people assume I'm 15/16. One lady even told me I shouldn't be getting drunk at 14 when I was at the bus stop completel wasted and with some older friends. X_X Then when I said I wasn't 14 she said you shouldn't be getting drunk at 12 either, lol.

I would say I look every bit my age, and I'm proud of it! I keep fit, eat healthily and feel great! ..|

I've always looked older than i am - in fact the lads used to send me into the liquor store to buy the beer when i was just 13/14. So it was useful for underage drinking- but i find that people who look older than they are tend to stop aging so much in their 30s/40s - whereas the 'pretty' boys suddenly dry-up and crease with wrinkles overnight.

the 100% white ones do lol, if youve got any black or "brown" blood in you thats far less likely to happen

Well I recently turned 44 but have been told I look younger.
Some days I feel 70 though! [-X

My husband & I recently started attending the high school football games here in my hometown. Anyway I will see an old classmate and point them out to my husband and he says "They look way older than you."
So yea I guess I look younger!..|

No ... it is assumed that I am about 12 or 13 years younger than my 51. My partner is 29, so people also probably assume that I am younger in any event. All those years of moisturising are now paying dividends!

whether I act my age .... well that is another story altogether. lol

This thread has got me thinking - how do we determine what an age looks like? - I am 40, and to me I both look and feel like a 40 year old - some people think I look a bit younger some people assume I am older.
I hate it when someone asks me to guess their age as I never want to offend them - so I always make up an answer by judging how old I think they may be and then deducting up to 5 years off, but I really can't get my head around how we visualise an age to look.

All I know is that mentally, I'm still stuck somewhere in my teens.

No, I look much younger than my age and I am always getting id checked at clubs, which is so embarassing

My whole life people always think I am at least 10years younger than what I am.

It seved me well though. Never had a problem with getting younger men.

I have been a registered nurse for three years. I had one lady ask me when I was going to graduate from high school, and how long I have been working as a candy striper......

I'm 25 and people have always said I look younger.

I did recently get ID in the shop I used to work at when I was 16 -18. I know they were doing their job but when you are blatently older than the person who is selling the drink it is very annoying. It's not like it was a bottle of cider or anything it was a bottle of red to go with Sunday lunch!

Oh well I guess the down sides of a baby face are out weighed by the benefits. LOL!

I'm 34 & people tell me I look 25 to 27. My mom is 62 & looks like she's in her 40's. Her mother is 92 & looks in her 70's. Good stock, indeed.

Do I look my age? Sadly, yes. Every second of every of every week of every month of every 50+ years shows in this puss of mine. Don't believe a word of that crap about gray hair being 'distinguished' or wrinkles showing 'character'. It's youth...YOUTH I tell you, that drives the world.

(Where's my nitro pills and Metamucil. And where the hell is my shawl and booties??? Damn, the glasses are missing, again!)

I can usually get away with people thinking I'm eight to ten years younger than I actually am. :gogirl:

I am 47, by the way.

Jupiter: When we met at the Montreal JUB this summer, I assumed you were a bit younger than myself (40). Well done.

A few weeks ago at an Ottawa min-JUB, some chick said she thought I was 28. I knew she was just being nice, but wouldn't believe I'm 40 until I pulled out my driver's licence. Then she said, "Shit, you're only 2 years younger than my mother."

When I turned 39 last year, a guy at work was shocked. He thought I was 31.

It's all in keeping your hair, how you dress and act (immature).

I'm 24 years, 6 months old, I have been told that I look younger...

So what is that D? Twenty-four and a half? ;) (*8*)

I heard a comedian the other day talking about when we're young we just need that extra "half" in our age to sound older.

Then as we get older, not only are we trying to lose that half, we'd be happy to knock off a few years. LOL :D

I've been told that I look mid 32 to 35. Not bad since I'm a 43. (!)

I've met guys younger than me that I would swear were my age, or older.

Wassup wit dat?
