Do you miss deep summer?

Miss it more than ever---sucks----very cold snowy winter and can't get away to a warm place because of fucking covid---

Planning on going to Italy later this year if possible---I've seen those videos and that ^Italian kid in those videos fucking annoys me--thinks he's so hot and acts like he has the world by the balls and he sorta does.

NYC is for the sort of people who would not mind about bigapplers or NYC weather, as long as they have the Met or the Frick, or even the damn public library at their disposal: otherwise, what the fuck are you doing down there



Unless you do not have a shitty view looking out from your windows (provided you do have them at all), and dwell in anything above the crappy Carrie-Bradshaw sort of hole, and with decent plumbing... and provided you are not some prairie boy trapped in an urban setting what.the.fuckety.are.you.complaining.about

I miss it A LITTLE, but not much. In other words, I can find "deep summer" to be miserable, but only about 75-80% as miserable as "deep winter" which I'm in the middle of, right now. (Tonight and tomorrow are likely to be the COLDEST DAY OF THE ENTIRE YEAR.)

OKLAHOMA CITY ( ! ) is actually having some of the most brutal winter weather in the entire country this weekend. It's supposed to get to something low like -10F (which may be colder than they have ever been) and there are winter weather advisories all the way into, even, Coahuila (Mexico)! I also think that Brownsville TX is in it. wow. OK City is getting something like a foot of snow first.

Basically, the deeps of both summer and winter are "uncomfortable" (because I can generally avoid needing to "go somewhere" on the really cruel days, and stay inside with great climate control!) and that's about all, with a mild touch of SAD (seasonal-affective disorder) added into the winter. All that really does, is cause me some insomnia.

I'm finally nearly the end of cleaning out my old place four hours outside of Chicago. It will still take me all summer this year, but I'll finish! Summer in Chicago does NOT suck, especially in this ON-THE-LAKE microclimate that I'm in. I guess it won't be until 2022 when I can finally fully embrace the glory of a Chicago summer.
