Do you miss your college days?

I just had the rerun dream of not having my thesis presentation complete.
.

I can relate to that one. I used to have the recurring nightmare that I had bombed my bar exams (I took two different state exams). I'd wake up in a cold sweat w/ my heart racing. The exams are really expensive and I couldn't afford to retake the things, plus, they're only offered twice a year. Just imagine going to school for all of those years, borrowing all of that money, spending all of that time preparing for the exam, then bombing out. #-o
Those dreams lasted for a long time, even after I knew I passed.

Undergrad was definitely a good time. I had a blast! Law school, on the other hand, wasn't enjoyable at all.

Yep...sort of...

I went to a "jumbo" public college in the northeast. Was in the closet the entire time. That said...friends, parties, sports, feeling of independence, fun and of course...the eyecandy...wow!(!) Oh...forgot...the classes were good too!

Found the solution...I now work at a private college! ;)

So, although I miss my college experience....I never really left school!:gogirl:

Now, THAT is what I SHOULD have done!! #-o ](*,)

I SO miss my college days. Just because it's one of those "If I knew then what I know now" type of deals. As it is I never made any friends in college because I was such a loner. Back then I LIKED it that way. I was also not completely out. I was not closeted, but I never openly pursued gay connections on campus (actually though, it was a pretty conservative place, so there probably weren't any). Until my senior year I knew of only one other person on campus who was gay, but he hated me (lol---long story for another time). It was not until the WEEK of graduation that my Senior year roommate who was also gay (nope, just platonic friends) told me about ALL the closet cases that he had heard of , or knew about. Too late by then to do anything about it. Plus I had no social skills in that area and did not know how to react to situations when my gaydar DID go off. (and there were SO many times----especially with the "minister's son" who had a different girl every week----but once again....thats a story or two for another time. ;)).
Oh the things I would have done..........:)

I want that plague that says "Doctor" ;)
I'm not sure that I'd call it a "plague"... :p

As for me, there are apsects of college life that I miss. Relatively little responsibility, freedom during the summers, living in the dorms with my friends... But there are aspects of grad school that I'm enjoying quite a bit as well. Teaching, for one. And taking classes that interest me, without having to fulfill university requirements in unrelated fields. It's stressful, but I don't regret taking this path.

well this will be my first year of college so i dont know yet. but it will be exciting to see what will happen there. i am hoping for lots of fun and parties and dick!

college sucked for me.

working two part time jobs to keep rent and pay for classes.

trying to study and pay attention while seriously sleep deprived.

getting angry at the kids who had an easier time financially and watching them get better grades as a result.

but the really strange part is: for some weird reason, i get all nostalgic about it from time to time and almost wish i was back there.

...... i said ALMOST ;)

College was awesome for me. i definitely miss it. I loved going to class and learning / meeting new people.

So many of my friends were looking forward to graduating, but i was the complete opposite.

It wasn't until i got to college where i really accepted the fact that i was into guys. Good times!

Yea, the first part of my college experience was enjoyable... Well parts of it. Would I go back and do it again? Hell no! Well, maybe if I could re-do/evaluate some of my actions/choices. Some of the people I met were awesome as was some of the experiences but I would NEVER go back to North Dakota for schooling... Hell, my friends are having a hard time getting me to come and visit!

I'm a commuter student now and I love it. Surprisingly, I've made a few friends from campus who live as far out as I do, so it's a pretty decent situation. If I end up going away to finish my degree (again), well that could be a totally different story...

College was fun. It helped me come out actually.

I miss the friends, the great professors and the great partying. Not too much. I'm actually kind of innocent ;)

i miss my friends more than anything else.

thankfully my best friend from college is still my best friend.

Not one bit...There were some good times, but overall, I didn't like the lifestyle

HELL YES! It was the best time of my life. I'd be happy to do it all again...even the stressful times. It sure beats the real world!

You knew me in school, John? :-<

^LOL, Kyanimal.....actually I recently looked up my old college and found a list of some alumni from around my graduation years. I looked up the "ministers son" and found a recent pic of him. He's actually going bald, lol! Still cute, and his work profile doesn't show him as married....(40 and never married.....hummmmm...;)).
He use to jokingly flirt with me (only in front of the other guys of course.....it's a "straight" thing.....;)). I just wish I had had the guts...and the knowhow....to do anything about it. My college years would have been SO different if I had the "gay social skills" that I do now. :)
