Pop tarts? I didn't think they would do well in a microwave

I use mine mainly for defrosting meat, cooking fresh veg and reheating stuff. Not a great ready meal fan.

Yup.
Picked it off the street after someone threw it out too.
Im one of those.....

never was a fan of them, but as some of u who follow my threads i dont use my oven, so the microwave does cum in handy

I use mine every day. Mostly for reheating and defrosting.

I use mine for nearly all my meals if I don't get something to go, except for re-heating pizza, or whenever something might get soggy. It's great for pop tarts, soup, Hot Pockets, and ready meals. Like a lot of you, I hate cooking, too.

I also have a toaster oven, which is great for when I want to bake or reheat something, but I don't want to wait forever for the oven to preheat.

I only use the microwave to soften butter and make popcorn, now that I think about it. I prefer to cook everything in the oven.

I use mine a lot, i very rarely make my own food from scratch, most of its ready meals, for the simple reason that i hate cooking. plus it makes that cool ringing sound when somethings done.

Ok how do have a body like yours living off of ready meals? :grrr:

Certain things cook wonderfully in a microwave....

corn on the cob cooks like it does on a grill

baked potatoes (as long as they are not left in too long)

bacon (the grease fries off and leave straight, crisp slices)

Certain things don't....(I won't go into details):D

I melt butter in the MW and sometimes reheat soup or defrost stock that I've stored in the freezer. I don't cook anything in it, and generally I prefer to heat things in the toaster oven. I have used the MW to warm up lubricant, however.

I never really 'cook' anything in the microwave cause I don't really care for the result. But for popcorn or a quick reheat it werks great. Got the main one built into the kitchen and a little guy downstairs for the bar. Just in case. :corn:

I have a microwave and love it.

I can cook so much with it and it saves so much time.

The people that say that thngs don't turn out that well in a micro wave either don't know how to use one or are gourmet cooks that wouldn't be satisfied with anything but their own cooked meals.

Learn how to use it and you will be amazed. Really.

tommy, thank you for saying everything that i would have said. it makes me feel like i am not the only one who deals with food in that manner.

i hate cooking, i hate cooking, i hate cooking, i hate cooking.:grrr: now get me my teddy bear so i can calm down.(*8*)
