Do you go shopping at all on Black Friday?

I went to a porn shop. Everywhere else is too crazy for me.

Went to the Food Court at our downtown mall, read my paper and ate a late lunch. No other purchases or shopping.

I went to Starbucks and did some bookkeeping on my boss' Apple like a pretentious loser.

my brother had the nerve to drag me outthere for that disaster. out of all the places he decided to go to, it had to be motherfucking walmart.

you know, there's a lot of videos of people going ape shit at walmart, riot, looting, people fighting people or whatever. well, surprisingly, the local walmart we were at, everybody was acting really civil, polite, and showed that they had manners. sure, there was a sea of people and lines all over the store BUT nobody was fighting, wilding out or whatever. i guess the hurricane made everybody act extra nice. my brother and my cousin were all trying to get tingled with the crowd but me on the other hand, i was ready to whoop somebody's ass and i was complaining the whole time too about why my brother decided to do that bullshit. i was just waiting for somebody to do the wrong move. that was mostly because i was in a bad mood over something but that's another story.

there was about to be a woman ready to argue with me over some stupid shit i did. i accidently bumped into her, it was only a slight brush and she was ready to flip out talking about "excuse me" with an attitude. i didn't even care to look back or say anything to her. as i said, i was in a bad mood. i wasn't even trying to take it there over a stupid event. not in front of the police anyway.

As a self-proclaimed observer of human nature, I love Black Friday. I love going out and people watching, and it's the best day to do it. We all know the horror stories of fighting and screaming, but I see plenty of other stuff, too. Some good, some bad, some indifferent.

No offense meant by this but you're a legal consenting adult. Your brother could in no way drag you there 100% unwillingly. The choice was ultimately yours to make. Unless he had a gun to your head I'm pretty sure you are quite capable of saying "I'm out."

you're right. i opted to be the designated driver though since my brother was basically falling on his face since he been up for almost 24 hours working, picking up my cousin from new york and etc. i knew that dude wasn't in any condition to be behind the wheel and my cousin couldn't drive since she's from england and all so i decide to do it. it would have been a totally different story if someone else tagged along to drive then i wouldn't have done it.

Yep ofcourse I did :)

Hit up the 8pm thursday sales
(came home afterwards)
Then went out again at midnight
(came home & went to bed)
Then did a final round starting around 9am

LOL actually ended up going to walmart 2 diff times during all that LOL

i personally dont
last year i was dragged into it, i got in a fight, then my bro's car was broken into.

this year i went to get one thing and then gtfo

no. theres really nothing new and exciting out there. we haven't even sold out of wii u. it will? sell out by xmas but so far interest hasn't really been there.

there are dozens of tablets.

windows 8 is struggling.

its not a good year for electronics.

best buy & jc penney probably wont survive.

No, I didn't partake in it. Honestly, I've never really seen the appeal. My mom used to take me Black Friday shopping with her so that she wouldn't have to [STRIKE]suffer by herself[/STRIKE] be alone. Driving around the parking lot for 20-30 minutes, not finding a spot anywhere, trying to move around in packed stores, waiting for hours in lines. It's not for me. But if you like the shopping, the deals, the people watching, etc. then I hope you enjoyed it.

Regardless, I think it's a ridiculous celebration of Capitalism and Greed.

Pretty much. The retail store I used to work for actually called it Green Friday :##:

Ordinarily no, but this year I went to Walmart and waited in line for 2 hours for an iPad.

Was it worth the wait?

Def...NOT. there is nothing out there that I need that bad to sit/lay/sleep on concrete/fight/argue/stress out then fight the checkout lines.

No crap is needed that bad. I have better use of my time, and I can order anything I need online and save the hassle..

Came across this the other day... it's funny, however the sad part is how true it is...

This was the first year that I haven't gone in a while. Done it every year for the last 4, but most of my shopping is already done this year so didn't feel it was worth the fight
