I prefer dogs.

I don't mind cats, but I'm alergic to some, so I tend to stay away from them.

See? What's not to love? :luv:

Aww, my first dog was a miniature schnauzer.

I've had a cat for the past ten years, now. . .since the day he was born.

His name is Kenny.

I can't stand cats. They're too...human. It's eerie.

I love doggies though :D. I grew up with at least one in the house at all times.

Grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, iguana, fish ... all kinds of "pets". ..|

Cats are amusing, and quite their own creatures. And, though I love them dearly, I'm slightly allergic to them. I can live with them, but I can't touch my face after I've been playing with them! #-o

Dogs are not as independent, and do require more caring for. However, there are reasons they are called "Man's Best Friend"!! (group)

We are currently enjoying the freedom of being "petless". But, it is the dogs that I miss the most! :luv:

Keep smilin'!!(*8*)

I prefer dogs. They are friendlier than any other animal and are good companions.

I grew up with both.

I have a dog who lives with me. My parents brought him for me when I first moved out of home so I'd have some company.

I have a cat who lives at my parents house. When I moved out I didn't take him with me because he probably wouldn't have adjusted to the move to well and I didn't want to upset him. LOL.

I've got two big ole German Shepherds. It's great fun rolling around wrestling them. You can't do that with cats....unless you have a tiger. Then you have some other issues.

I love dogs, and hate most cats. I've disliked almost all cats since before I could walk, when one scratched my face and left a small scar on my upper lip which is still visible.

My all time Favorite dog was our Shep! Not only was she often too smart for her own good, she was also one of the most loving, loyal, Admirable beings that I've ever known!! :luv2:

She was with us for 17yr.! DAMN! I truly do miss Her!!

She is yet with us, though, in our Hearts! And ... sometimes ... well ... when all is really quite, and still ... we both think we can still hear Her, roaming about the house, "watching out" for us! (group)

Don't knock tiger wrestling until you've tried it,mister! It is quite fun. And what issues would I have if I did have a tiger? (Don't have one at the moment, but am thinking about getting another one)

I'm a dog person; the b/f is a cat person...
.
When we move in together, we'll see which one of us has the fortitude to complain hard enough to sway the vote in one direction...

I'm assuming I'll win.

Dogs for me...big ones. Cats are fine but they are boring...they make for nice apartment animals.

Completely wrong. The cates are not boring, they are bored. And cranky. Why should you expect them to entertain you when you don't entertain them? How rude! :p

At the moment, we have 4 indoor cats, one stray at the vet and one we're feeding outside.

I like the independence of cats.

I grew up with kittens and cats so have a soft spot for them.

I love dogs too but they seem like a lot more hard work. With a cat you can just let them get on with it until they need something from you.

Dogs vs. Cats, is not all that unlike Human Males vs. Females.

Dogs only care "Where" something is. And, when they find "it", they're Happy! (!)

Cats want to know "What" everything is, and "Why" is it there!

Dogs are always Happy to see You, no matter what! :hurray:

Cats want to know where you've been, and why weren't you home sooner! #-o

Just some personal observations ... :slap:

I was watching Millionaire Matchmaker last night & a guy said he preferred dogs over cats & thought it was surprising because he was a Leo

I'm also a Leo and love dogs way more than cats, but didn't find it strange...does anyone?
