Do you prefer zippered pants or those with buttons?

Yesterday I once again had a narrow miss between my junk and the zipper and have considered going back to a button fly. The only drawback is in winter it's a little chillier as some air can get through. At -20c it can cause some shrinkage.

Zippers for sure. Button flies are too inconvenient. I don't want a major investment in time and effort when I want to take a quick piss. I have had button flies in the past and they were totally annoying and fiddly. Not for me, they aren't.

I've only had one (from what I remember) pair of button jeans. I thought they were awkward..but I guess I'd prefer them if I were always barely missing cutting open my junk. o.o owwwwww

Zippers ARE low-class. Maybe that's why I like them.

And, eventually, the buttons fall off. Generally I have to throw the pants away at that point.

I don't even consider buying anything with a button fly anymore.

And sometimes, too, as refuji mentions - if quick access is needed, it can be difficult to do buttons if the hands are cold, too. Sometimes I have to do tasks in unheated places.
