I'm not sure, but I can't remember any of the toaster ovens I've used having much if any insulation. Although most were cheap new (and even cheaper bought used). I did have a DeLongi, but I can't remember it very well. Except that I found it disappointing for something that would have been $$$$ new. At least, for my needs.Do they make toaster ovens that have insulation?
We had a countertop convection oven when I was growing up. I don't think that had insulation, but as I recall, I think it did have a fan that ran air through the sides and top to cool it down so one wouldn't burn oneself on the side. Or set fire to the kitchen.
