This is a two-parter:

1. Do you read all the posts in a thread if you don't post?

2. Do you read all the posts in a thread before posting?

If I decide to post, I only read them after my first posting on that thread.
If I decide not to post, it is because I don´t feel I can write a decent stupid post of mine because it´s a thread I find really interesting and informative, that is, a thread in the Current Land Of The Free Events section..

1. Do you read all the posts in a thread if you don't post?

Not always. Sometimes I read the comments of the person that posted the thread, then I'll scan down and read the comments of JUBbers that I know or that I like.

2. Do you read all the posts in a thread before posting?

Not always. Sometimes I'll read the comments of the person that posted the thread, then post directly to their comments. I've found that this has two effects, it completely shuts down the thread because I "hijacked" it back to topic, or anything that I posted is completely ignored, both by the person who started the thread, and by everyone else. ;)

Yeah, but nowadays he has to do it within the ten-minute restriction.

You have never seen "live" a woman dressed like that, have you?

It dont always especially if they're starting to go off topic, it kind of gets annoying.

No, again, for the same reason as above, and because I kind of get ADD after a while.

](*,) ](*,)

No, I tend to look for the posts of people I know - and then might glance at a few others. There are some I deliberately over=look or do not read at all = let's be honest, there are some postings that are just not worth reading, given who might have written them. Purely an objective assessment.

As far as i can tell, if i decide to post, i do so, prior to reading other postings in the thread, so as to not be influenced by any previous threads.

Of course if I am posting and quoting another thread I shall have had to read the other posting, previously before posting.

However, why I have posted does not change. None of them are of any value to begin with, and thus there is no purpose for anyone to read them except for myself.

I don't read them all if I'm not going to post.

If I do post, I usually read them all (unless it's a resurrected thread with 1,523 previous posts!). I don't get overly worried about being influenced by others' posts; I do worry about repeating what someone else has said, so if what I want to say has already been said, I just skip to the next thread after leaving a comment to the person saying I agree with his post.

I agree with Lube's post.

not usually....but it really depends on how interesting I find the thread.

2. Do you read all the posts in a thread before posting?
same answer as above. Due to time limitations, I do not really have time to read every single post, especially when people post super long stories as the first post.

1. Not always. Depends on how interested I am in that particular thread.

2. Most of the time, yes. Like Lube said, I don't want to repeat what someone might have already posted. Sometimes previous posts might cause me to relpy to that, but mostly I post in regards to the thread originator.

If I am going to post in a threda I will read all the replies first. If I am interested in a thread but don't want to reply I will still usually read all the replies. If I am not interested in the thread and have nothing to say then obviously I won't waste my time! :D

I tend to read most posts before I respond.

The politics thread seems to be the most entertaining one for me. I've only been around a couple of months but I've learned where a lot of the guys stand, left or right. I try to read each one and sort through the b.s., before I respond.
