Do you remember when? (JUB of yore)

It was through chat on JUB that I met such amazing guys as Kevbo and DaddyBadger.

I could never understand why all the profile information was cut back.

Seemed more like a hook up or "match" site when you could find out so much about a member.

Didn't like some of the info it asked me cause it seemed like if you didn't fit the requirement for hotness nobody posted with you.

I loved the Userplane Chat when we had it and I think I only had to ban one person! And it WAS a chat room in the proper use of the word 'chat'. I'd always have my music playing for those that wanted to listen, and my cam was always on. I really miss it.

I also miss the 'Games' module. Anyone else remember that?

This is a ridiculous statement. The chat was a very alive and vibrant part of this forum for some time. I was a lurker from the days when it converted from linkmeallover.ca to justusboys, and it was the chat that really turned me into a nonlurker. There was a lot of great interaction there, and many who had a strong presence in chat also participated in the forums.

Yeah but if people use the chat, some will end up using just that and the forum will be less and less active. Chat is probably a better way to get to know someone on a personel level but there is always PMs for that and I think it's better to get your thoughts across in a forum than a chatroom.

Very few Jubbers bother to create signatures now. Funny because they were considered almost 'de rigueur' back in JUB's earlier days.

Are people just too lazy to make one now or don't they know how to?

I've always enjoyed making my own sigs and I think it's a pity that they seem to have gone out of fashion.

I remember the 'chat' feature. That where I first started chatting to a Jubber who has become a real close friend.

I remember the games tab as well. I used to waste so much time playing them....

In my memory, that one was rather short-lived. Too bad, 'cause I quite liked it.

I think it's sad how there was once a thriving contingent of women posting on here, but now I never see any.

There are a couple of women that posted in the bi/staight area recently... but I too am surprised there aren't more.

All of these reminiscing threads are getting depressing.

The Chat was my first introduction to JUB --
Solitude, Biggie, Peterboroboy, Pocono, PK, Kenny, so many others, then later HotHunk, Bobinri, RenissanceBoy,Jav, Starford, - many more,

it was a fun place, then I guess it became an 'expense". Seth complained bout it messing up the numbers in the "number of members viewing" each of the forums. and some other stuff --
then they went to another format - it worked okay - but then it left too - and yet a third one ran for a short while before the final shot was put in the Chat's head. There were complaints that it didn't get used -- yet it was never promoted through the other pages/forums. Then it couldn't be justified expense wise due to the small number of users.
and so it goes. and there it went..

some members planned to meet up at another site with a chat - but it never really amounted to much . those that were "friends" stayed in touch on YahooIM or MSN - others vanished into the crowd.

I remember Lickmeallover. That's when I joined. My Lord that was ages ago.

I also recall the chats but found that it was a bit difficult to participate. Some days you had the same guys on who would ignore all the others and just continue their own little conversation. I dropped it fast.

Then sorry guys but when JUB got invaded by quite a few women, and some of then snarly, that's when I said goodbye.

Have been lurking for three years though....just reading and mentally saying hello to some buds still on.

Of course I had a different name then.

Might become a supporter again soon. Wait and see

I also remember when everyone could save pictures within their profiles and have huge directories if they wanted. Then there was something about making sure everyone in the photos were of legal age, which was impossible to verify, so all were shut down. I had TONS of pics and all were lost overnight.

I was devastated when all my galleries were cleared.

It happened around the time my hard disc crashed, so I lost my entire collection of porn.

I'd need a couple of months off work to regain what I lost.
