  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Do you sleep better when it rains?

I do some times, plus I'm a very light sleeper.

Thats what the phone app does and more.
No need to turn your computer on all night.

But, doesn’t a storm on little phone speaker(s) sound like an angry rodent or a dying reptile?

And leaving a computer on all night is good for the air quality. Have you never seen the fuzzy mess that accumulates inside a pc tower or laptop that is left on all the time?

No your ear adjusts to the sound and it sounds like a real storm.
About computer make better air quality, is this true ?

^ it deff wouldn't sound good on those tiny little speakers in a phone, or tablet, or laptop...
No way I can sleep with the computer (& stereo) on, fans in it are too noisy

The sound of rain on the roof is relaxing, I can sleep just fine with that :)
Deff can't sleep with a thunderstorm running though. That said, I love thunderstorms when I'm not in bed..cool to watch 'em

Yes...so much so I've bought CDs and MP3s or rain and thunderstorms to play at night.

Maybe. I think it's more of the psychological factor knowing that it's warm and cozy in bed under the covers while there's a storm (literally) outside that does it for me. I don't think it's necessarily the sound of water.

Of course I'm also hoping that it doesn't rain in the morning or later in the day when I have to get out the door (the Cali dood in me).

Love going to sleep when it rains. My neighbour has a corrugated iron roof, and I've grown up listening to the rain hit it when it rains at night. It's become almost like a lullaby.
