Do you smoke weed?

So, just to make sure we all agree.
Alcohol is a lot more dangerous than weed. Would JUBbers agree?

Without question. I'd say that weed's positive effects far outstrip its negative ones, in fact.

Epilepsy - A study performed by researchers at Virginia Commonwealth University discovered that ingredients found in natural marijuana "play a critical role in controlling spontaneous seizures in epilepsy."

Multiple sclerosis - It's long been believed that smoking pot helps MS patients, and a study published as recently as May provided yet another clinical trial as evidence of marijuana's impact on multiple sclerosis patients with muscle spasticity. Even though the drug has been known to cause dizziness and fatigue in some users, most MS patients report marijuana not only helps ease the pain in their arms and legs when they painfully contract, but also helps them just "feel good." How many prescription drugs can say their side effects include "happiness"?

There are seven other medical benefits of a total of 200 found at the link in the first set of quotes.... all based on scientific study.

Most doctors don't advice people any longer to have a glass of wine a day for the heart.

Alcohol starts to have negative effects on many organs right away, also when you just have one glass. Plus there was an increase in alcoholism when a lot of people started drinking daily for their heart.

Plus I hate the whole "you can drink in moderation" comment. Are you saying you can't do that with other drugs? There are a lot of social drug users who do it rarely and just do it a little for mild effects. We just don't hear about those stories as often as the bad ones.

I'll admit maybe I took it too far calling alcohol a hard drug. But it is over average. Not only is cannabis a milder drug you can say the same about many others including ecstasy.

Never tried but i don't mind trying if it is not addictive.

I might prefer cooking weed like mix with stir fry or something.

Alcohol is at its base a man-made poison. Marijuana is at its base a natural herb that is helpful.

Far more studies have proven pot helpful than anything about booze....

I don't understand the illegal part. It should be legal.

Yeah I am fine with it too and with booze... so alcohol in the form of beer occurs naturally? I need to find those hot springs....

A natural process caused by man... hence the terminology man-made. Of course the 800% increase in marijuana potency is man-made as well... just like the 1000% increase in corn yields based off of petroleum fertilizers....

meh i digress.

Enh. It smells nice, but it can be awfully rough on the lungs. I have a friend who quit smoking weed after a really nasty respiratory infection. He misses the high, but he feels much better.

I used to, but I don't anymore. I had a major problem with it; I'd probably go through two ounces a week at my worst. I wasn't paying bills, I was borrowing money left, right and centre (and not paying it back), and my life was a complete wreck. I'd literally wake up stoned from the night before and spend the entire rest of the day stoned. That went on for at least six months, and then I got into painkillers, Xanax and cocaine.

Once I got to that point, with the gentle urging of my foster mom, I decided that I had a problem and that I needed help. I decided to start attending Narcotics Anonymous, and while I've gone back to using a few times, I'm currently three days short of five months clean, which is the longest time I've gone without using since I was 18. I have no intention of starting again, because I just know that if I did, I'd be right back to snorting coke and popping pills.

Yep - keep coming back - it works! ..| Congrats on your clean time.

Lilbit that is the cool thing about legalization... smoking is the simplest and most convenient form but edibles are much better and a vaporizer makes smoking nothing like smoking... just the smooth non smoke THC delivered ....

SMoking is the worst health way toi do it but folks who smoke MJ are less likely to get lung cancer even if they smoke cigarettes'

I would kill to spark a big fattie.

But I smoked cigs for about a decade and if I were to suck that sweet smoke deep into my lungs...I'd be 2 packs a day in a day.

But if I eventually need it for medicinal purposes...I am so there.

My mother had the pill form when she had cancer and if she hadn't been inside the hospital at that stage, I would have gotten her a bag of weed.

My friend did consider eating it, but he was worried that he'd be tempted to smoke it. I have one friend who sometimes make a tea from it. (That also smells pleasant, but mush fainter than the smell of smoke.)

If it were legal and inexpensive, I'd probably smoke a joint now and then just for the taste, but as it is, I feel no real need or desire to partake in any form.

I'll admit I used to be a stoner when I was younger. I was constantly high. And I've tried pretty much everything too. Besides taking a toke or two over New Year's, I've been clean for the last 20 years. :D

---anyone notice Enchanted is now a guest?---

I have a medical marijuana card. I don't really get "high" anymore...I wish I could. I have a "secret" garden "somewhere" in a warehouse...so I've pretty much got weed coming out my ears. I enjoy growing it as much as smoking it...

Weed is what you need. Spread the love y'all. Peace and love. Peace and lurve.

Just kidding about the weed. I have never done it. Well, I don't think I have... ;p I haven't...

Cannot stress this enough - hit the firggin' spacebar on your keyboard after every comma ',' and period '.'

Actually many people from countries where English isn't their primary language, don't add spacing after punctuation when typing in English because spacing was added to languages that use the latin alphabet.

He can easily just hit the space bar, but his mind is set.

I'll be getting a marijuana card in January but I actually won't be buying pot. I'll be getting THC oil.

I'm getting mine. Have they announced where the dispensories are going to be in the city?

I only know of one atm actually announced. It's in Pittsfield. Yeah...

Edit: LMAO from Wikipedia...

In 2012, the city was listed among the 10 best places for single people to retire in the U.S. by U.S. News, due to the high number of single older residents and higher likelihood of finding companionship or a partner.

That may explain why.
