Not of course drinking in the car but drinking before driving, just a swift one mind not a bathfull ?

I don't drive myself but i have gotten into cars knowing the driver isn't exactly sober.

Not of any substance. I've had wine at a dinner, but only a glass, or had a Margarita with a meal.

I was witness to a lot of drunken driving as a child, and many times compelled to be a passenger in such cars. It's terrifying.

My mother walked with a pronounced limp for the entire time I knew her, a souvenir of a severe car accident she had when drunk, breaking both legs.

If I go to the theatre I will have a glass of wine in the interval and drive home
If I am out socialising I only drink coke

I don't drink if I'm driving.

I used to drink every week end and drive home when I was young. I wasn't usually totally smashed, but certainly a little high. I think everyone did in those days. There is a lot more awareness of drunk driving nowadays. I hardly ever drink now, but probably would drive home.

If I have Sunday lunch with my mum, I'll have a couple of glasses of wine but won't drive home until much later. If I'm going into town for a night out, I'll go on the train and usually get an Uber home.

In the late 70's and the 80's just about everyone I knew was drinking and driving. Open bottles in the cars and speeding. Scary but true.

I never got crossed eye drunk before to require a ride.
