They should of course be vetted.

Doesn't bother me, personally. Living in Arizona, it's definitely a hot topic here as a border state.
You should be so lucky. My Grand Parents were not vetted. Because of tehre hard work I have a BA and Masters Degree and pay more taxes than most.

We apparently do not need Canadians like you to decide!

It's too late. Imagine if there had been a president like Trump before Trump's grandfather came along who did what Trump wants to do. Things would be very different today.

How does this make him an immigrant? Donald was not an anchor baby, nor is his son Baron.. Frederick Christ Trump was born in the Bronx on October 11, 1905
"Anchor baby" is a term (regarded by many as a pejorative[1][2]) used to refer to a child born in the United States to a foreign national mother that unlawfully resided in the United States at the time of the child's birth.[3] The term is generally used as a derogative reference to the supposed role of the child, who automatically qualifies as an American citizen under jus soli and the rights guaranteed in the 14th Amendment.[4][5][6] The term is also often used in the context of the debate over illegal immigration to the United States.[7] A similar term, "passport baby", has been used in Canada for children born through so-called "maternity" or "birth tourism".[8][9]

Every one of them needs to be checked out. If their country has no records on them because they don't keep records they don't get in.
Frederick Trump (Donald's grandfather) was an immigrant. He'd left Bavaria when he was 16, moved back to Bavaria and married Elizabeth Christ. He and his new wife were forced to leave Bavaria because it was determined that Fred had left the country at 16 in order to avoid military service. They moved New York City.
Donald Trump's mother was not a US citizen when Donald was born, and Melania didn't become a citizen until a year after Barron was born.
