The title changes according to your post count. I believe you can customise it after 1,000 posts.

You can check by clicking the 'Quick Links' next to the 'Log Out' link and selecting 'Edit Profile'. That's where your option to change your title is.

Alright. I'm going to go ahead and get a bit philosophical and esoteric.

The fact is that without physical evidence, no one here can say they are who they say they are. And if you aren't you then who are you? Whoever you wish to be.

We are all on this equal footing, we all choose to type into our posts kind words of encouragement or hateful rhetoric. We project personalities through this, we create characters. (Not saying anyone is only a character)

So where does that leave us? Free to explore our personalities/projections through all the others here with us.

Why is this important? Well it may not be. But if it is, then it would be in our best interest to ascertain the intent of those we engage, and act accordingly.

Most people would agree that a gold digger looking for a spouse to use them for their money is unjust.

A troll does the same thing, but instead of your money they want your attention, and your frustration. They want to laugh at you.

So there we go.

Anyway, if this guy was fearful of criticism, logically he wouldn't post his picture to be criticized. I don't object to pictures of beautiful people, that's one of the reasons to be here after all. I do object to having to validate the pretend feelings of a person who doesn't exist.

This is something that drives me craaaaaaazy about this board.

People just don't bother keeping up with a discussion. There are these threads where the OP says something and you know the thread will get taken in another direction, but they never bother reading any more of the thread. They read the OP and reply, and then end up looking totally out of place or oblivious.

This isn't meant as an attack on FanOfFiction, but I just don't understand this. Don't people want to actually...address the pertinent discussion? Do they not care that their responses have been rendered meaningless?

It's not just this board. I've noticed this on every forum I've ever read on. It seems that having a serious discussion on the net is near to impossible.
