I can think of guys in a sexual way but I can't get a grip on them being cute. I think of girls as being cute. A guy may be good looking or handsome but I don't get that cute response the way I hear gay men talk.

I'm sure a lot of this is based on the upbringing this society has on boys. remember, men are never cute, they are virile, handsome, strong. women are cute, pretty, docile. it's all relative to gender and social construction.

but it's true. i feel weird telling my girl friends that their boyfriends are cute. i just say, "woof".

they get the rest.

Pure homophobic bullshit...

I think of guys as being hot, but also as being cute. With girls, instead, I think of them as being gorgeous, hot, and sexy. Cute is one the last adjectives I would use with a girl.

I'd say yes. Personally though, I hate being called cute, and I'd never use the word. It always makes me feel childish.

Cute is nice but not good enough. I think both men or women can be cute though.

I tend to think of kids, both male and female, as "cute."

Adults, I tend to describe as handsome, pretty, sexy, hot, or just plain fuckable...
I have a hard time thinking of any adult as "cute," but that's just me.

After all, whether they're male or female, who'd you rather be sleeping with tonight, someone that's "cute" or someone that's "hot and sexy?"

I'll take "hot and sexy" anytime...

I think of cute as being a certain sort of look. I think Hayden Christensen is hot and cute. Vin Diesel is hot but not cute.

I guess looking young is part of it, but it's also a personality quality.

For me cute is a visually apealling person with some inocence aura around him, but not preciselly sexually inspiring. If he is sexually inspiring to me them he graduates from cute to handsome.

'cute' as a word kind of makes me wanna vomit.

i prefer 'hot', 'handsome', 'i'd hit it', etc--and that's to refer to both males and females.

exactly he hit the nail on the head man

I use cute to describe guys once in a while. It's usually in conjunction with either boyish or effeminate features, though.

I LABEL some guys as cute - while I like masculine men - there is a guy that comes into the shop where I work that is really cute !! he wears a baseball cap (not backwards) and he has dark eyes (I wish I could see his hair) and he's short and has a nice smile and he's really cute -- sexy but in a non-threatenin non-biker way --they are truly the odd couple - but somethin's going on there.

I agree with the first part of your post completely.
