Do you think passing gas is repulsive?

Passing gas is repulsive because it wastes a natural resource. Everyone should be required to wear a fart-catcher, to collect the methane for generating energy.

I don't find it repulsive. If I need to let one rip I either go to the bathroom or I move away from the group and let it out. Now when I'm with my family anything goes. We don't intentionally let them loose but if we have to fart then we'll do so. It's funny seeing each others reactions whenever a silent one is let loose.

Sometimes I think it is funny and sometimes I think fart humor is funny but mostly I don't care if someone farts or burps one way or the other. I would rather them do it openly than have the embarrassed cringing thing happen because then it becomes work for me to pretend I didn't notice.

There have been a few people who bothered me with it but they were bothering me before they farted anyway.

If it happens, it happens. But if you like to repeatedly let big wet ones rip while we're having dinner, I may lose my appetite.

I suppose if you have a very strict diet the smell would be less but usually it's flammable...
