Do you think skinny guys are attractive?

Just wondering everybody's thoughts on this. I'm 5'11" 154lbs, and I've been trying to bulk up for several years. My body just won't grow. I don't like my face looking so thin because it looks like I'm unhealthy but in actuality I'm very healthy

attractive guys are attractive; at least for me, their weight wouldn't change their level of unattractiveness significantly unless we're talking about a guy who's anorexically skinny or morbidly overweight.

last time he weighed himself, I think my boyfriend was like 120 lbs soaking wet.

I don't have a "thing" for skinny guys, but I don't consider it a negative, either. Let's just say you'll do a lot better out on the dating scene than somebody who is overweight by the same amount.

Luv my twinks. Though I like a bit more body mass for guys over 30.

High metabolism? I only wish I had that years and years ago when I ate out of boredom and depression. I have skinny guy friends and they're attractive, so I don't see why not.

Basal metabolic rate rises with body mass. Skinny people have low metabolisms.

Some people are given higher metabolisms (or at least higher rates of fat burning) genetically. My younger brother has the worst eating habits ever and still couldn't gain weight if he tried.

True.

The top 5% of people with the same lean body mass have a third higher basal metabolic rate than the lowest 5%.

Don't mind skinny guys at all as long as they are not anorexic. Again, all things in moderation.

5'11" 154lbs = skinny

Seems like a very healthy weight to me. My BMI is only slightly less and most people, including non-Americans, think I'm a stick.

different people carry their weight differently, but yeah... when I was 150 @ 5'10", a lot of people said that I looked very skinny (bordering on unhealthy and skeletal looking)

I like 'em on the lean side.
I also like 'em a little plump
In between is great also.

That's where the 'jokes' come in - they're comparing you guys to themselves and/or what they're accustomed to seeing - an overweight population.

Skinny guys can be attractive but they're not attractive because they are skinny. I prefer the term "thin" though. *shrugs*

While you are correct (that skinny doesn't = attractive) there are definitely a lot of people who people call attractive at a thin weight and say "he looks good but he needs to lose some weight" at 20+ pounds up from that. Of course it doesn't help that so many of the thin people themselves say something like (comparing themselves to someone 20+ pounds heavier) "If I ever get that fat, kill me."

Well I was speaking more for myself, but I know that many people obsess over being thin as it if were the gold standard to being attractive.

I also tend to associate "skinny" with being bony and malnourished. I tend to think of "thin" as being at a healthier weight, just more on the slighter side.

Skinny doesn't always = attractive but I've also never, ever heard anyone refer to a fat guy as attractive. Usually what you hear is "oh he has a nice personality". It seems the gold standard in the gay world is a 31-32 waist. Any lower then you're suspected of being sick. Any higher, you're rejected as fat.

In world men we come in all shapes and sizes I am on slim side been all my life. Have great times with guys bigger then me and had no complaints.

I don't generally find skinny guys attractive in a voyeuristic way. I don't really fantasize about or look at porn with skinny men.

But when it comes to real life, and the men I meet and am attracted to, and enjoy sex with, I definitely prefer them to be smaller. When I'm in public, I find myself thinking about the skinnier guys I see more than the fit, muscular types. I like a guy a bit smaller than me. Shorter and skinnier.

Also skinnier guys seem to have nice dicks. I'm not sure I'd say bigger, but maybe just bigger in proportion to their body size. Which is sexy.
