Jasun's thread successfully got us discussing weddings, so i'm furthering the discussing by creating this poll:

Many politicians agree that legalized gay marriage is inevitable. Let's say that by the time it's legal in your state, you'll be in a relationship and ready to settle down and get married.


Do you want a classic, bigfancyschmancy wedding or something simpler?
 
If I could afford it, and my guy was into it, we'd be doing the most fabulous wedding ever. We'd be at Versailles!
 
If I ever got married I want something low key. I would rather have something small and put the money towards a house or something rather then spending all this cash just for one day and then have to struggle to make ends meet.
 
As long as he showed up I wouldn't care.




I personally have a problem with attention being on me, but with the right person beside me I wouldn’t even notice any others.
 
If i have tons of friends and family wants to come in the future then maybe the second choice but now i picked the judge from the courthouse to marry us.


I wouldn't want anything like Chelsea Clinton wedding
 
i can't think that far ahead. so far i haven't found anyone to date much less think about weddings.

We had a nice small one officiated by a really nice gay man with the city.
A huge extravaganza would be a turn-off, especially after that Chelsea Clinton's monstrosity taking up so much of the news.
 
No I do not. If I even do get married, I want it to be simple yet memorable, extremely fun and just fucking crazy.
I hate fancy big weddings.
 
Well, when the day comes we get to marry in NY...or if I ever find a woman I'd like to marry... I'd like it to be big an memorable. I'd love for all my family to come, heh
 
It would be big, but not necessarily formal. It would be in summertime at our home, outdoors. Our sons would be our best men. The only gifts we would accept would be the love of our friends and family.
 
I've always dreamed of having a big wedding. Everything all in white, with streamers, ribbons, and me in a big ol' white wedding gown with a lavish veil and a long, long, long, long train.

All made of Brawny paper towels, of course. :D
 
i don't believe in marriage, so no weeding ever. but IF i did, I'd get married in Las Vegas on MDMA & champagne and get it annulled the next day.
 
I don't think I'll get married but it would be the smaller the better. I know there would be a lot of beer and good music. It would be a memorable party with our family and friends.

What's the point?

I mean, Princess Diana's wedding makes all the rest of them look like crap.

I can't get that line from Will & Grace out of my head.
When Will said something along the lines of, "Oh Please. I want a real wedding. Not standing on a beach with some witchy lesbian waving a stick over our heads."
