Do you wash your hands when you use a public restroom?

In a fairly recent study, it was discovered that men tended not to wash their hands except about 17 % of the time. While about 82% of the time women using public restrooms wash their hands So my fellow JUBbers, are JUBbers like the rest of the population or do we do it differently? It will be interesting to see what happens.

Always, with use of towel to open the door, but also follow up with hand sanitizer. Use it too after shopping (handles on the carts) handling money, just being out in public. And now with MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) being in the community and not just the hospital, things are getting really scary.

I never use public restrooms. They're a breeding ground for disease, bacteria and germs. In my opinion, you do your body less damage if you hold it in.

If I'm ever forced to use public restrooms - like if I eat take away and need to wash the oil off my hands - I'll always take in a handfull of paper towels or napkins to use to open/close the door and turn on/off the taps.

I barely use public toilets. When using my own toilet I only wash my hands after taking a dump.

Why would someone want to study whether people wash their hands after going to the toilet?

yes, always - I always wash my hands, no matter what I do in the bathroom!

To aswer your question, I'd say I wash my hands about 80 to 90% of the time but then I'm a girl.

I must say I wash my hands at 95% of the time. If I'm in a major hurry to catch a bus or something rather I might just forget (given that the place I was in was decently clean).

It is a good idea to wash your hands several times a day if at work. Especially after using a public restroom.
