Do you wash your hands when you use a public restroom?

Yes, I do. I find it disgusting that people don't wash their hands after using the restroom.

I don't touch doorknobs or facets, but I still wash my hands.

Yes, I wash my hands after using the bathroom; whether at home or out in public. I'm not crazy, though. I don't go into contortions to not 'touch' anything while using public facilities. To me, that's just plain nuts. I use good judgement, and I think my common sense prevails.

I always make sure i wash my hands and i am a custodian so i have to set an example

Alot of the public bathrooms where I live, everything is electronic. Electronic flushing & electronic sinks. And they've started making it, so there are no doors to the washroom itself, which sounds weird, but it's not.

If I ever have to use a public washroom for anything besides peeing, I always Purell the seat with toilet paper. I also never touch my dick while peeing in public, so I never see a reason to wash my hands - but I do it anyway. I usually Purell them once out of the washroom.

I'm so freakin OCD when it comes to washing my hands that it's not even funny. If I go out to eat somewhere I make a b-line to the bathroom so I can wash my hands. Then I will take a paper towel and use that as a sheath to protect my freshly washed hand from the germ infested door handle.

But there are soooooo many times I see guys in the bathroom not washing their hands. I personally don't think it's the end of the world that they touched their pecker if they took a leak, I just think of it from a germ perspective and the possibility of getting sick. That's what keeps me washing my hands all the time.

I'm a horrible germophobe. Not only do I wash my hands with warm water and soap after using the restroom, but I wash about every hour or two, just because my hands start to feel dirty. I don't touch door handles, steering wheels (except my own), hand rails, you name it; and if I have to, I wash my hands the first chance I get. In winter months, I usually wash my hands enough for the air to make them dry, cracked, and bloody. Its not uncommon for my knuckles to split daily. And yes, I DO dry them well with a towel!

You should apply moisturizers on your skin, I also wash my hands a lot and I used to have dry, cracked and bloody looking skin on my hands, but ever since I started using moisturizing lotions the problem has disappeared. Every time I wash my hands and dry them I make sure to put on lotion (I buy the small 3.25 FL oz bottles that can fit in my pocket). I tend to use one that has colloidal oatmeal since it's a protectant (against cold weather) and it’s supposed to heal the skin from dryness and cuts caused by it; although, I sometimes use Vitamin E (an anti-oxidant, which is supposed to make your skin look younger and protect it from free radical damage) moisturizer.

Well the past few years I've used A+D Ointment on my hands every few days. I slather it on really thick before I go to bed, and cover my hands in socks. When I wake up I wash off the extra ointment and they are nice and smooth. However, it usually takes my knuckles cracking to do it again because it is annoying and smelly.

Then use non-greasy lotion like I told you. I've only tried Aveeno, Lubriderm and Suave and from those I like Suave the best because it absorbs quickly. If you don't like fragrance on lotions then use the Vitamin E Suave or the powdery fresh Suave. Now I don’t see the point of you using that ointment you mentioned since you only use it at night and if you’re washing your hands multiple times a day I’m sure it won’t do any good unless you apply lotion on every time you wash them. Like I told you in the previous thread I wash my hands dry them and then I apply the lotion every time I wash them and my hands look nice.

Also, I buy the body lotions because I see no point in buying a hand lotion and a separate body lotion; why waste extra money when you can use the body lotions all over your body. I always put lotions on my face and upper body and hands before going to class.

Always wash my hands.
I know so many of the guys at my office don't, even after taking a crap. I wash my hands in case I ever come across anything they happened to touch. I don't want to possibly ingest their fecal matter when it comes time for me to eat a snack.

Well, I usually lick the urinals. Do you think I should still wash my hands?
