HSN or whatever late night anyone for shopping/gift ideas? Or do you detest it so much you never watch? I was still awake at 3.00am today and found myself mesmerized by one on non-stick cookware. Ohhhhhh but I want the matching bakelite handles!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anything else it made me fall asleep!

Again, no poll. Just discuss your experience and views.

NO

I hate them.

I am a salesman's worst nightmare. If you try to sell me something I automatically reject the product.

On a related note.....I do like commercials with puppies ...so show me a lot of puppies and work them in with the product and I'm in..|

I was thinking.....I do love the guys who know they are full of shit but turn it into theatre...kinda like James Franco in OZ. If there were infomercial guys like that I would watch....and probably buy something as a token of appreciation for the great entertainment..|.

I've been taken in a few times... but I won't buy it through the mail/TV.

I wait until it shows up in the "As Seen on TV" aisle in stores.

As wonderful as it looks in the commercials, the reality of the products are often seriously lacking.

Never bought a thing, but I do love the commercials. I prefer the short-form ones. Especially the ones that start with the black-and-white segment of people ineptly handling things, desperate for a miracle product to salvage their otherwise-wonderful lives. My friends and I enjoy doing what we call "Confused Hands" - holding our hands open towards some object, shaking slightly, as if to say "Look at this! This task is impossible!"

I've always been a nite owl, and in the early 90's , i used to watch HSN late at nite for a few hours while i drew, painted or worked on some other creative hobby, before rubbing one out and hitting the sack. Some of the hosts were entertaining, but i never bought anything. I've not watched any channel on a regular basis like i used to back then.

There are over 500 channels on my HD cable service. (God bless Time-Warner!)

I always find something better to watch..... (even if it is the umpteenth rerun of "Gilligan's Island"!):D

It's embarrassing..but I bought them...:help:

one time I watched snuggie and now I wear my snuggie
Recently I bought chillow- a pillow you gotta put in fridge to giving you chilling sensation when you sleep- u huh, but one thing I didn't pay attention that summer is short in here but it's ok, that giving me enough good sleep from mid August to early Sep

They are fine overall, but I keep myself away from antiques/relics infomercial because they're able to make a giant topaz ring somewhat more important than your grocery budget 8-)
