I'm not cold-natured, so living in Alaska was no problem when I lived there.

They do make some very thin wool thermal underwear that is lined with synthetic so it wicks well, but it is very expensive.

I didn't even like thermal underwear/ long John's when I lived in a cold climate. They are good when you are outside and then when you get inside they are too hot.
