just curious i read that silicone is safer for anal because it doesnt dry up like water based and u dont have to keep re-applying

but then again silicone is harder to wash out.

hmm how do u guys get the silicone off? lol

I use water based, and it can be a hassle having to add more before I finish.

I use silicone quite a bit with my boyfriend.

And based on personal experience, yes, it comes out with poop.

Although it costs a lot more than the water-based ones, I think it's worth it. Less hassle.

i use silicone... ever since i discovered that i haven't used anything else...

it comes off with soap and water.

Next time you are at the grocery store, pick up a can of cooking spray like Pam. It's silicone- just like the lube. Silicone is the gastrointestinal system is inert and is considered safe.

The quanitity of silicone lube should be relatively small and it would be elminated by showering and normal bowel movements.

Silicone versus water-based lube really a personal preference thing. Try both. See which one works best for you.

The advantage of the silicone lubes is that they don't dry up and they are condom safe.

The disadvantage is that while the silicone lube is slippery, it's not thick like many of the water-based lubes which makes for a different sensation. And the silicone lubes are more diffcult to get out of clothing and bedsheets.

On silicone lube stains, presoaking with baking soda before laundering will often help remove the lube. For white sheets, you can use dishwasher detergent like Cascade. For large stains, you may end up having to throw out the sheets, as the heat from the dryer will "bake in" any residual silicone.

I agree its a preference thing. I find water based lubes more slippery (Durex) and silicon lubes longer lasting. When i'm expecting a longer session, its definitely the later. :P

And yeah, if you're having sex in the shower, or a bathtub, then silicon works better.

I find water-based lubricants dry out quickly.

The pharmacy was out of KY so I bought Smuckers.
