Doctor Who Season 4

So where have all the Doctor Who fans gone? Did no one watch the second episode except me?

Well, I've watched the second episode and the third, and the fourth. I will probably be in the minority here, but I didn't care for the second as much as the first. The third had a very poignant ending, and the fourth is getting better, and of course I'm happy to see Martha again... loved the great wonderful warm introducing scene between her and Donna, with her taking a page from the Rose/Sarah Jane playbook and having fun at the expense of the Doctor... I suspect it will be in marked contrast between the cat fight I hope to see between her and Rose!

I cant wait for the continuation of ep. 4, where's my time machine :)

Yeah, I thought last Saturdays was good too--with a little LESS incidental music in it, its inproved for me as I cant always hear the dialogue.........

Donna and Martha together--very good! And the Sontarans looked great!

FINALLY premiered on SciFi last week here in the States thank god!!!!

I loved it so much--what a great show.

David Tennant is brilliant and Catherine Tate is fucking fantastic!!!

You hilarious talented Brits!

I am currently watching a video stream of The Poison in the Sky and I loved that frame on the monitor that showed Rose calling out to the doctor for just a brief moment

Gee, thanks for the white-colored spoiler background text, guys...

Here is a new mid-season trailer if your interested; lots of Rose and maybe the Big Bad for the season. * Spoilers *

I wasn't so into Donna, despite my undying love of Catherine Tate's show and the Runaway Bride Christmas special. Then she and the Doctor met/re-met the Ood. Now I adore her.

I just found out how behind the US is on Dr. Who. I almost spoiled The Doctor's Daughter for my aunt at lunch today. I hope we see Jenny again at some point!

Yeah, if I only stuck with the episodes that were airing on BBC America over here, I don't think I would have seen episode one yet, thank goodness for ovguide!

Oh my god! Episode 8 (Silence in the Library) was such a good episode. It was one of those moments when I was so into the show that I didn't realize that time was running out. Now I have to wait another week!

I really loved Silence in the Library! It was written by the same guy that did 'Blink' last season and it was quite spooky yet again - turning something common (shadows, like statues) into something that's supernatural and evil. I also like it how they've set up so much mystery and haven't explained any of it yet; in a lot of the two-parters they set up a mystery in the first episode and explain it by the end of the episode in time to set up a new mystery in the second episode, but here - no mysteries solved!

I have to say that I love Donna now, it took me a few episodes but she's really grown on me. I love the way that she really challenges the Doctor, unlike Rose and Martha did (don't get me wrong, Rose is amazing!!! I can't wait for the final three episodes...). I love the way that Donna is so compassionate and empathetic to almost everyone they meet. Catherine Tate has confirmed that she's not on for another season - how do you guys think Donna is going to leave?

And what about River Song? :O

^She might end up dying, but not in this ep, as she's there through to the end of the current series/season.

And Moffat, the guy who wrote this episode, Blink, Girl in the Fireplace, and The Empty Child ("Are you my mummy?") is taking over as executive producer when Russel Davies leaves.

I didn't realize that the guy who did Silence in the Library also wrote Blink and Girl in the Fireplace, I that both of those were also fantastic, I loved Blink. I can't wait to see how the next season will be if he becomes the new Exec.

I personally think River Song has to be pretty emotionally connected with the Doctor, maybe his wife or something in the future. She said she didn't recognize him so he is going to shift at least one more time before we meet her again (or if we do at all). I liked her though. I have to say I enjoyed the fact that she was an archaeologist .

And I agree, Donna is very compassionate. Much more so, i think, then the other companions. I love that about her.

Yeh, River Song is a goner! Although I thought that she did recognise the Doctor, it's just that he didn't recognise her?
