Doctor Who Season 4

Hooray for Doctor Who!!! I love David Tennant!!

Yeh, River Song is a goner! Although I thought that she did recognise the Doctor, it's just that he didn't recognise her?

I meant she didn't recognize the way he looks, because she said something along the lines of "you look so young" or something like that. Which I figure means he would have to regenerate at least once more before they meet.

Or she just meets him when he's way older. He does age, albeit REALLY slowly. The Master just had to tack on another hundred years or so and he was a senior citizen.

Yeh, I just took it to mean that she met him when he's older (as in an older version of David Tennant). I'd like to see Jenny come back as a companion, but even more I'd love to see Sally Sparrow - she'd be awesome.

I doubt we'll see Sally Sparrow again, same as we didn't see Elton again after the thing with the Absorbaloff. Fun though she would be.

Jenny as a companion wouldn't surprise me all that much. The writers are really in to playing with what it means to be the Doctor's companion.

Yeh, it's a shame - because I think she could have made a good companion.

Not sure what I'll think of Jenny if she does become companion, though...

I think so too. Each companion gets a very different show of love. There's Rose, with the mutual love. There's Martha, with the unrequited love. There's Donna, with the friendly kind of love. And then there's Jenny, which would be a familial kind of love. She does seem to fit the pattern.

Oh, that's true - I didn't notice that. Rose is my favourite, though :P

Although how'd you think the Doctor's going to react to her having a gun? :O

I've only seen through the "doctor's daughter." so i have no idea who this river person is. lol i'll watch the bug episode tomorrow night. then maybe the library one the next night. i'm just so far behind! lol but not as bad as SciFi channel, i think they are still at poison in the sky.

Did anbody else catch the "BadWolf" reference in Silence in the Library?

Wow, the Forest of the Dead was better then the first part. I was just left reeling and still can't get over how good an episode it was.

Spoiler:
I still don't understand how the Doctor can just all of a sudden snap his fingers and open the Tardis doors...

^Because Moffat is an inconsistant writer. He gets very wrapped up in his own storylines which yield either wonderful results (The Empty Child, Blink) or "what the fuck" ones (Forest of the Dead). I was kinda disappointed.

^ I liked the snap at the end. To me it reinforced the idea that the Doctor is a part of the TARDIS (remember "The Christmas Invasion"). Maybe he could have always opened the TARDIS that way and didn't "know" it? Then again, I was wrapped up in the storyline too.

The doc has never been able to open the tardis without a key of some sort. however, the lock/key combo have changed repeatedly over the last 45 years or so. i guess it's not out of the question that he has changed the lock again so that now he can just snap.

i'm going to watch silence in the library tonight. :)
