The doc has never been able to open the tardis without a key of some sort. however, the lock/key combo have changed repeatedly over the last 45 years or so. i guess it's not out of the question that he has changed the lock again so that now he can just snap.

i'm going to watch silence in the library tonight.

I think him and the Tardis are connected in a spirital way. We know the tardis is a living think. I think he could aways snap his fingers and open the tardis...he just didn't know it. If the Tardis can read your mind and translate languages for you then it's alive. Look what it did to Rose. Can you imagine that power in a Time Lord! The doctor is right....a time lord would become a vengiful god!!

What an episode!!!
"Turn Left" I mean - totally excellent (despite one huge continuity error) but so good to see everything done in that way.
And as for the teaser for next week's episode "Stolen Earth"... I actually physically cannot wait. I refuse.
It looks incredible and I'm dying to find out what Harriet's return is all about!!!

I completely agree. While I was watching the preview I was like "Oh my god!" every time they showed a character returning to the show. I cannot wait, although that does mean that the season is coming closer to an end.

The finale's on the same night as my brithday party. My friends all have a very difficult decision to make!
Some of the rumours released by BBC are obviously false, and there's one in particular that I really hope isn't true.

If it is, I'll be devasted and insulted and will lose so much enjoyment in the show.

There all suppose to be back. The series four ending (or rumour has it) doesn't really end kindof. It carries over to 2009 and the three movies are suppose to wrap it up. Or at least what I've heard.

Same here. I absolutely love how the show has characterized the Dalek's. Every time I hear the word "Exterminate" I get a chill.

I am begining to feel that this season is my favorite of the last 4 anyway. I just love Donna and what she brings to the show. Cant wait for the next episode.

Key phrase that has people buzzing is when Darvos (and yes it is Darvos. There's no denying that now!) says the following "The Children of Time are moving against us..."

Does that refer to heroes? (ie all the people the doctor meet since the very beginning of Davis season one??) or is he referring to something else?

Second. The Red Dalek is different then the rest. He looks like he's wearing sometime of upper body armour and his gun is way different then the others. Who is it? Is it Caan (the last of the daleks that escaped in season three?) or is it Harriet Jones coming back to seek her revenge on the Doctor?


I can't wait! I'm dying with anticipation here!

Okay - I'm just catching up on my telly viewing and...

...Is Doctor Who season 4 episode 11 (Turn Left) the best episode ever?

Is it the best episode of any SciFi program ever?

Possibly!

Seriously guys (and gals) I was glued to my seat all the way through.

The BBC makes the thinking man's (and woman's) SciFi programs IMO and Doctor Who is way ahead of the rest but this episode deserves to win awards - all of them.

And as for the guy Jethro (Colin Morgan) in episode 10!?! Wowsa wowsa!!

LOVED IT! Makes me sad, though, that in the parallel universe Rose, Jackie, and Mickey were sent to went to shit, but I suppose such is the way of parallel universes. Glad, though, that Rose has no qualms saving the other one. The darkness makes me wonder.... Is it the same darkness that was after Jack? I thought he had killed him (Abaddon that is). Probably not, since Rose says the Darkness is coming, rather than The Thing that is in the darkness (as described by Owen and Suzie).

The darkness is coming..... along with the phrase at the end of Turn Left "BAD WOLF" means that the Daleks are back.
