Why did David Tennant leave the show?

I loved the first episode Smith will make a brillant Doctor. Moffat is doing something strange and making it work he is taking elements from the old series and bringing them to the forefront.

Will not post spoilers as I want you all in the US to see it first but seriously there is a bit towards the end where as one blooger said will give your internal organs goosebumps.

I loved it! Matt Smith is terrific as the Doctor, I like the new companion, and Tom Hopper is gorgeous!

Yeah, I watched it this weekend and I loved it so much! The budget must have had quite an increase, because it felt like a movie!

I'm quite new to Doctor Who, only watched the two first seasons of the new batch, but I like the series' sense of adventure and its history makes it very respectful! I kinda want to watch some classic ones...

2 episodes in and I like it alot Matt Smith is a doctor he's doing a great job. DT 1st 2 episode were poor I didn't get into DT until the episode School Reunion so Matt has done something right as has SM.

Gotta remember to set the DVR for the 17th.

I'm new to Doctor Who, but I've seen the whole series (thank you, Netflix, I love you). I bloody love it, and I'm amazed at how long it took me to discover it.

OK can I just say that I hate the new Dalek design as much as the remind me of the Cushing films they don't seem designed right. The bulk back sections and the covered "neck" make them weird but I like how Moffett kinda destoryed RTD Daleks it was funny. OOh can I just say I love River Song roll on next week. (!)

FINally saw The End of Time last night on Space.

I cried.

Episode one with Moffat starts next Satuday, April 17th on Space. I'm looking forward to it.
LoL, the Doctor makes me cry a lot, when Rose got trapped in the parallel dimension, I was balling my eyes out. I was inconsolable for hours, and my husband thought I had snapped;)

I really liked ep 1, ep 2 was pretty good, i hated ep 3. i do not like the redesigned daleks at all. they look too bulky. the colors i'm not sure i like but i could live with. have not seen ep 4 yet but will probably watch it tomorrow night or tonight if i feel like staying up. lol

tardis redesign is fine i'm good with the inside changing. adding the old logo from the the 1963 season is fine also. i'm not sure how we're explaining it, but that's ok too. lol

Episode 1 was OK. 2 was a bit better. 3 was a complete snooze fest.

4 was the best so far, but the weeping Angels weren't nearly as scary as the first time. (Maybe the 2nd part will be scarier.)

I love River Song. The first ten minutes of the episode were as dazzling as a good Bond film.

Smith has been getting better, but he'll never be as good as Tennant. As Hamlet showed, David is just an amazingly talented actor.

I really like the concept of "Vampires of Venice" it did have some really good parts.....but it was a little underwhelming. the Angel episodes where great!!!!! the next episode looks good

Amy's Choice was ok. About half way through i thought i figured out who the "deam lord" was and i was sorta right. lol no spoilers though since not everyone has seen it. ;)

You know from the second Angel episode I feel its fell a bit flat I'm no so worried if I miss it don't get me wrong I love the doc and amy but seriously even at that moment at the end of ep 9, I didn't see it comming and I shud have reacted more but I felt like meh, I think its the writing and the stories I'm having trouble with moreso than the actors.

I'm geting really tired of Smith's second rate imitation of David Tennant.

And I'm finding Amy a bit annoying as well.

And most of the stories have been a snooze.

I had the Dream Master thing figured out in about fifteen minutes.

Still I live in hope that it'll get better.

Matt Smith is amazing (and cute). Karen Gillen is great too. Reckon it is up there as one of the best series. This week's ep was just perfect.

Episode 10 was the most heart wrenching (I cried) and human story of the season. The writing of it was brilliant (Richard Curtis, of 4 Wed and a Fun, Bridget Jones, Vicar of Dibley Fame). It explored mental illness in a real way. It didn't sugar coat it for the kids who watch this show.

It almost seems as a stand alone. You wouldn't have had to watch any episode of Doctor Who ever, and this episode would affect you in a deeply emotional level.

The ending spinning moment, was the most glorious of the episode, along with the ending "For Amy" moment.

Absolutely magical.

End Love Treatise.

just saw episode 10 today. it was really good i agree with everything you said. While I think Matt Smith is doing a pretty good job as the doctor i will agree it's a little too much like Tennant's doctor.
